Toiling to see a link between Ashgar and Brannigan, we'll just have to wait and see.
Should there be a link between them?
Are you hoping there's a link between them?

I'm not hoping there's a link.
But if Revolution Global Sports were advising Mark Ogren, you'd think Ashgar's company would potentially have recommended Brannigan for the post.
I reckon you have the wrong interpretation of my suspicions. Merely, I think as fans we should be vigilant when new people appear, running the club, rather than blindly accept these guys are here for the good of United.
I hope, like you, that they are, but football history is littered with clubs being ripped apart following changes at the top.

I love oor Pat's Columbo style, wee fuckin need to dig intae things as deep as we can but at the same time not get too bogged down with the worry like conspiracy theorist styles do.
I'm all up for pushing the positive but at a point when I see something to be concerned about I'm saying to myself, " I'll probably find oot mair about this as oor Pat will be digging right fkn in tae it". Miss Marple & Columbo arnae Arabs. We need Pat Reilly!

Reading that some fan groups havn't been invited so far, the Fed and Fans United mentioned and other groups not going as a result.

Not the new owners best move tbh. Tbf though its probably not Ogren that done this.

Sorry - don't understand.... is it only FU and fed who have been invited? Other groups (trust, ulot, dusf) aren't going because they haven't been invited or aren't going because they are taking a moral stance?.
Either way, what a disjointed support we have.

Not really. We just have a lot of hingers on.
The ones that have been invited are the mickey mouse slg. Anyone not invited must be on the naughty step. Bad move imo

I must admit to not being up on the politics of all the various groups - so my sincere apologies if I'm asking daft questions....however I thought all groups had been invited to be part of the slg and I thought all had taken up the offer?
As for the number of groups, we really don't have a big enough fan base to warrant so many splinter cells. If people were to be truly united, there would be no need for any other groups other than the fed and the trust.
A more streamlined set of supporters groups could give united much better feedback than having 20 voices all saying slightly different things.

A timely reminder that we have too many supporters groups.

The business club and ult arnt really supporters groups tho. Neither are the trust now imo. The slg has always been a waste of time . Invented to try and dilute the federation.
I also believe fans united and fed should be one organisation.
Online!

Are Fans United even still a group (genuine question)?
Their whole raison d'ětre was to try and force a change of ownership from Stephen Thompson.
Job done.

Apparently Dorward advised someone to invite all groups and whoever that was forgot to invite Fed/Fans United. Which they should just do now and admit it to being an oversight.
Agreed far too many groups, always thought the real core support were Fed people tbh. No we have all the inhouse bickering its a shambles really.

Club should be inviting all fans to have their say. Never been into organised fan groups as they end up being led by Bob Servant types. Open up a stand and give every one a chance.

or Mike Barile types?

I think it would be great if we all got our say, but really that is impossible.
We'd end up arguing amongst ourselves, points made would be diluted, misconstrued or lost. Like on forums like this!
But it is an error, hopefully not deliberate, that only the SLG has been invited to initially represent the support. These, as far as I mind, are invited rather than elected representatives (Colin Stewart once asked if I'd be interested).
And although we do have too many groups, maybe two individuals from each would have been a better cross section, for the time being.

Seems all supporters groups are now invited to meet MO and Co.

I look forward to hearing what the Ogren's have got to say to the fans and media over the next couple of days.

Hoping oor Mr Ogren can transform the state of Dundee United as much as he has transformed his look...

He's aged about 15 years after 90 minutes of watching us. We've all been there.

That top pic we all witnessed was Borat like. Wearing dark blue in amongst broon with a badly fitting broon suit made him look mair dense than Tannadichee.
Nae wonder those against us took delight in publishing that pic.
Local paper going with story about him "stepping in at the 11th hour" was just a cheap shitey effort. 11th hour was when Martin stepped in and bought out ST.
Hope fans can give the new owners a free fae media chance and judge fairly without being influenced too much by the built up media shite designed to stall/kill the progression.
