Is Gomis signing?

Re: January transfer window

One more signing this week and hopefully another two by the end of January according to Robbie's post match interview with Jim Spence.

Not good enough imo

Correct. This week ends tofuckingmorrow but I'm guessing he meant next week.
If Ogren was serious with what he said about getting up this season we need signings that really make an impact and quickly.

On the plus side looks like Nesbitt is one that WILL make a difference

Didnt hear the same interview as me then. He said 1 he'd hoped to have done by today but will be early done early next week hopefully with another two. He meant another two next week. So 3 next week in total.

If we get the 3 next week, added to Nesbitt = 4 and if they are the quality we need might be enough to lift this team. But we are running out of chances to take advantage and mount a real good challenge. The 2 points dropped today is criminal.

Yeh thats what mate text me.

Im going to assume these signings are happening without nobody moving out so we may see more as and when we can shift some.

Today is another cry for the new owner we need players to get us up.

Didn't hear the interview myself but was relying on Mrs Scarpia for that bit of info - on the whole I'm inclined to go with your version

Re: January transfer window

Good to hear , Curran to the Fun, seriously not good enough for us. Poor signing.

Re: January transfer window

Good news for us, gets us out of a 3 year deal with a 30 year old who’s scored about 20 goals his whole career.

I stated my displeasure with his signing at the time, and I couldn’t be happier that he’s away. A fucking nothing player going to a nothing club.

Re: January transfer window

Cammy Smith to replace Craig Curran then?

Massively, massively underwhelmed.

Other than one game (3-1 v Partick) i thought Smith was nothing more than bang average for us.

Starting to resign myself to the fact that we're probably staying down again, sadly.

We don't seem to be going for the right type of players imo.

We need pace, height and strength.

Aftet that thistle game we won 3-1 cammy smith never got as much a chance as he should have done due to the signing of Andreu. Had we not have signed Andreu we would have seen alot more of Smith and seen what he was about.

I do agree we do need height added.

Will be interesting to see what other movement january brings. Its going to be busy im sure.

I agree with you about Smith, he's been about for a few years and done nothing and currently can't cut it at St Mirren.

Go and ask Celtic for a loan of Morgan for 4 month or get look at getting someone who can win a match for us. We need a spark something to get us going again.

Re: January transfer window

Latest rumour is Prince Buaben signing.

All we seem to be linked with is midfielders.

Re: January transfer window

@CCX2 2010

Morgan or Allan on loan from Celtic would be superb.

They are bound to sign a few so can't see either boy getting a look in.

Ask any st mirren fan, I’ve seen tweets in double figures that smith was just as important to st mirren as Morgan!

Smith never got the chance at us cause of andrue, he’s a fine player

Re: January transfer window

The Scott Allan that was at Hibs or even Swanson just someone that can take the ball keep it and pass it to another player.

We badly need a right back, someone that a threat going forward. I am 41 and I swear I would still beat Murdoch in a sprint.

05/1/2019 10:13 pm  #198

Re: January transfer window

Allan will go to Hibs. Lennon is on record saying he wants him. Morgan will stay at Celtic.

Neither is realistic imho.

Ian Mcshane signed for Falkirk from St Mirren yesterday, that's one we should have went for.

I'd also try to sign Scott Pitmann from Livi.

Too much commotion

Re: January transfer window

Nesbitt looked decent at times but rusty. He looked for the ball when some were hiding a bit, some good creative play and looks like he can give the link we are missing maybe. Hope he improves like I crave and half expect. Decent debut in a game with tactics well excecuted to spoil/suffocate us and win the 2nd ba.

Re: January transfer window

Over the last while I din't expect much of a singning in terms of impressive. Being realistic n' all that.

We need some impressive signings right fucking NOW!

Even my kids know it and they have an opinion based on only 3 years of watching us and missed only maybe 5 home games between them aged at nursery & early primary school ages.

Nae kidding us or even the bairns anymair. Get us some definate quality players in right fuckin now.
