Re: OLD/RARE UNITED PICTURES

Most of our more *ahem* vintage posters will know who this man is. Decent player as it happens.

Ozzie Ardiles isn't it? And it looks like Steve Perryman on the far left

That big tenement building in the background is the same one still at the corner of Arklay Street and Sandeman Street I think (not being a local). It's the building which also features in the background of the 'Greyhound Racing in Dundee' picture on page 10.

At the time of the photographs, Sandeman Street didn't actually extend along the north side of the ground, it stopped at the back of the Dens Park stand.

Cheers Pat, been on mobile only for 10 days, will see it on a laptop screen tonight and get a proper close look

Lol. I'm the one behind the flag, just see my feet sticking out. was hoping for a better picture (of me). I have one raising the flag, but I remember carrying the trophy around the pitch at Tannadice and have never seen a picture.

Re: OLD/RARE UNITED PICTURES

Not that I am a mercenary barsteward with a book to sell or anything!!!
But Arabs Away (£12.99) has more than 200 never-before-seen (or mostly not seen) photos of Arabs on the way to games, at games, celebrating after games.
And if I knew how to upload a pic, I'd show you what I mean!

Do you have any objections to me posting a pic for the lad who carried the flag?
