We never claim to be the best fans (although we do have an award to say we were)

If United are on form, so are the fans, you know that, it's the way of the world.

'reds go steamin in' & 'stand free' (what does that even mean?)  & 'in your Dundee slums' (raking your bucket, it's called a bin you fucking teuchter cunts)

Gomis....really...after the last time?

There’s a reason he has no club.

Here we go again in January window, played for us before and can remember how to lace his boots, let’s sign him.... cue Swanson, Cifcti, Bauben, etc posts. Dear me, it’s going to be a long month and a crap few months after if we start signing our has beens again who can’t get a game anywhere else .

Swanno and Nadir would rip this league apart. Jimmy would only be centre mid cover for Fyvie and Stanton plus he's a better option than Rabitsch/Barton/Toshney.

Re: January transfer window

I think Gomis would slot in beside Fyvie and Stanton would push forward.

Agree with this. Need to get Stanton driving further forward. Jimmy can just sit in, break up play and distribute well.

Also think (hope?) we might get one or two surprise signings

Re: January transfer window

There’s a lot of love for Stanton, but has he actually ever delivered for us?

Bang average if you ask me.  And yes I know that’s a lot better than most of the squad.

Re: January transfer window

Players I would like RN to sign: Messi, Ronaldo.....

Would like to sign the following:

GK- Would need an good and experienced keeper between the sticks.
RB- Someone like Nicky Devlin would do for me.
CB- Someone solid with experience
LB- Jackson Longridge (would be tempted to offer Dunfermline cash + Robson for him)
CM- Gomis, Tansey and Pawlett
Wingers- Daniel Armstrong, Kiltie (loan)
Strikers- Nesbit from Raith.

Re: January transfer window

I think Ogren will have upped Robbies budget after Saturday and I'm expecting to see a couple of bigger names coming in if we can persuade them to come to the championship.

I agree and a few at game said this could just be a help here as we though RN was deluded about the quality - then RN comes out with how he really feels.  Even 1 or 2 players of quality wont get us up.  Be interesting to see.  Perpared for usual shit Jan but hope for some bug signings

Whit? Like Jermaine PennANT? Mike SummerBEE is past it.

What I've seen since he's been with us he's been surrounded by average players and having to do his work too far back. I think he gives his best in the last third when he's running at defences. Not saying he's top notch but would definitely like to see him in a more attacking role before writing him off

I've got no facts to back that up, it's just a hunch. Based on the fact that MO has just spent, what £3 million ?? to acquire the club so I don't think he's going to be happy signing average players like Mick McAverage from lower divisions. I think he'll be ambitious. I do think it's possible that Robbie has his eye on a couple of championship players that have impressed him in games v them and I expect some to join, but the kind of player that will really set us on fire is playing at a higher level, not Ciftci but that type of signing. I'm hoping for at least 2 really big signings, but as said earlier depending if we can persuade them to play in the championship

Or am I in fucking dreamland because it's New Years Eve and I'm in the pub!

Re: January transfer window

Seems to be some speculation about Wighton fae the Fartz on loan, a deleted tweet that may be a lot of keech.

Had a look on their forum, Wighton not popular, seems to have failed there , maybe injury related.

Word that Souttar maybe going to Leeds which might gie us a wee cash bonus hopefully.

Pretty sure it was just a photoshop effort.

Utd post some pish, but even they wouldn’t go that far surely.

Re: January transfer window

Good to hear that the new sporting director has been identifying targets with RN for at least some time and we're not just beginning the process.
Its going to be interesting to see who arrives. I wonder if we'll look to pay some serious money to attract 2 or 3 good players on 6 month deals with a bonus for promotion and a rollover deal based on promotion happening.
The problem they have is persuading players who have offers at a higher level to drop down.

Re: January transfer window

Dundee Courier now noting us as an interested party in the pursuit of Daniel Armstrong the Raith winger.

Not sure if they've just lifted it off of here but hopefully more too it.

Seems to be a lot of murmurings from Raith fans that we may also be in for their Striker Lewis Vaughan.

Re: January transfer window

I'd hope we aren't after Vaughan, a wee lad who has had lots of injury absences over the seasons.
