It would seem the penny has dropped and Neilson has stopped talking this nonsense about only bringing in 'a couple of players' and mumbling on about 'a lot being said about stability' blah blah blah.
He's just ripped into the players saying some are nowhere near good enough to get us out of this league and is now saying we need '4, 5, maybe even 6 players in'.
I (and most supporters) could have told him that the minute he came in but THANK FUCK he has changed his tune at last.
January will be one of the biggest months in many years at our club.

He's now able to say what he really thinks. He had to jolly the hopeless cunts along for 2 months and had to watch what he said.

Correct. He’s has to select his words carefully since he came in. Now the window is open he can start telling it how it is - I’m sure he has players lined up.

Robbie has made the sounds players want to hear. And some of the daft fans too.
The defence has been shit all season, by varying degrees.
I'd expect to see a new keeper in for the Thistle game, but to be honest that wouldn't be enough.
What concerns me is that Mark Ogren's takeover taken place over a protracted period and then said this (from official site):
As new owners, we are going to take it in a different direction. We plan to appoint a Managing Director who will be in charge of running the Club and he will be responsible for the aspects of the commercial and business side of the Club.We will also have a Sporting Director who will be responsible for all the performance aspects of the Club. He will work with Robbie Neilson efficiently and effectively from the Club’s standpoint.
Why were these folk not in place at the point of takeover?
Like he also said, "Talk is cheap".
EDIT: done because what was written made less sense. No' sure this makes sense either.

Ripping into them. Good. About fucking time.
The riot act should have been read after taking 5 at home to fucking Ayr United.
Some home truths long long overdue.
'Raymie' and Csaba were too fkn nice and i was starting to seriously worry Neilson was too.
Time to kick some fucking arse at this club and if you're not up for the fight or simply good enough then 'there's the fucking door'.

I've watched Robbie again there, maybe unfair to say 'talk is cheap' of him.
But he chooses the players and formation, and isn't exempt from criticism today.
To be a goal up with around a quarter of an hour left, and not tightening up a shite defence with an extra body...... well, he's made a mistake there, in my view. Easy in hindsight, I suppose.
But for me, it's not hindsight. Most of these guys are in a comfort zone in the Championship, and that's where they'll keep us.
On the plus side, £1.79 for a pint is ok.

Going by that, I’m expecting players in in the next few days as soon as the window opens. He’s had to bite his tongue so far, the fact he’s opened up now suggests the targets are all but announced surely.
Good to hear him talking about decision making, some of that today was horrendous. If McMullan could make the right decisions around the box we’d have won 5-0 today.

Sign players when window opens. That's a must. I cannae hack watching that pish much longer. Instagram players gtf. Pop star keeper. Never a keeper.

I upset a lassie at work trying to be positive. She overheard ain o us saying another lassie was bonnie. She asked am I no bonnie? She wiznae but I replied that she was verging on bonnie. She had potential but ended up having trouble for going down too easily and gained a bad rep and a devorce.
Reminds me in a wierd way of some of oor players that we try to be positive about and verbally support and hope for improvement in but they stagnate, suck and need punted.

I was getting a stiffie with that.

No' listened or watched anything to do with that unadulterated PISH the day, I've sought sanctuary in my man cave, do not disturb sign on the door an' athin', and hopefully listen to some good music to accompany my tins of Strongbow (pint tins, never new there was such a thing) and a bottle of Vodka.
Tomorrow is quite soon enough fir me to think about that shit show today and where we go from here.

Did kicking arse work for Jim McLean/Alex Ferguson/Brian Clough/Bill Shankly/Jock Stein/Jock Wallace etc etc etc?

No but that's because he went on to spend a shit load on a group of rank rotten players that January.

He had to say the right things to keep some of those wasters on side till he could get his own players in. January’s never the right time to try and rebuild, cause you usually just end up with everyone else’s cast-offs, but we need to try something, cause as Neilson says, this squad’s never getting promoted.
GK, RB, CM, LW, #10 and a striker needed. Everyone bar Fyvie, Safranko, Aird and possibly the two starting centre-backs can go for me. None of them near the level we need them to be at.
Had a wee look back, and noticed a scary wee stat; we’ve not won the post-Christmas fixture since Falkirk at Tannadice in 2008.

Likewise does shouting and bawling work for jurgen klopp, ranieri or guardiola?
My point was that you cherry picked managers from United's recent past who you think illustrate your point but totally ignore the others who would show it up to be a terrible point.
For the record, I don't think shabba was 'too nice'. I don't think he had the people skills to be too nice.

I never 'cherry-picked' anything.
I mentioned our LAST TWO Managers. Stating they were too nice to create a bit of a fear factor with the players. Something that is necessary.
Fwiw Mixu didn't have a fear factor either. The players just thought he was an arsehole because of how he seemingly treated the young players.
Though to be honest i think too many of the young players we have had through our doors in recent years are just too fucking precious. All had ability but all soft as shite (Spittal, Connolly,Telfer,Fraser etc)

I think that's just kids in general these days.
From what I heard McKinnon wasn't adverse to giving players a bollocking. His issue was his hopeless snails pace football and half-arsed training.
I suspect Neilson's silent assassin style might be more effective than the arm round the shoulder or the tyrant approaches.

Agree. Time for manager and new owner to show us what they are about. We have to go up. Simple as that. Stay down then season ticket sales will be about 2500 and be playing in front of 3500 max.

Regarding Loemba, he got a cameo under Robbie against ICT at home, and turned in an embarrassing 10 minutes where he did everything wrong, including almost hitting the middle if the Jerry Kerr Stand corner with a 'shot' from the edge of the box.
And did he not put some nonsense out on social media about going to Celtic or Rangers a couple of months ago?
Back to that interview: RN must be really confident of having several players in, a good few this week too, if he is slating the players in that manner after a game. Otherwise, he's going to have an awful lot of eggs on his face very soon.
