Re: Nicky Clark

Huge blow.

We really need a big powerful Striker asap (preferably one with pace). Still a soft touch physically as Friday past showed.

Worrying comments from Neilson again btw. Reiterating that he will only be bringing in a couple of players in January as 'There is a lot to be said for continuity and building relationships in the team.'

Hmmmmmm.

Re: Nicky Clark

The thing is as much as i want to see us bring in new fresh players we need to be realistic that we wont see it happen due to the amount of playerss we have on 2 year deals who wont be going any place for some time. We have zero or very little cash available to strenthen sadly.
We all know we need 5+ signings.

Perhaps keeping his cards close to his chest. Who knows?

This is Curran’s chance, much like Edgenguele took his chance (pre Friday)

Re: Nicky Clark

Jeez. I can't remember a season that we've gone through without losing players to long injury absence.

Because our medical staff is dogshit? Coincidentally, most of the long term injuries are players who recently sign. No due diligence when signing these crocks? Or are we taking a gamble hoping they won't get injured? Been going on for years now.

Re: Nicky Clark

Dundee United striker Nicky Clark will be out for at least another three weeks after suffering an injury setback. (Scottish Daily Mail, print edition)

Fucking shock.

Re: Nicky Clark

Keatings, err I mean Clark seems to be a waste of a wage so far.  What injury does he have?

He is reminding me of Keatings i.e. a player with undoubted ability who should do a job for us but seemingly plagued with wee injuries and always suffering 'setbacks'.

This is getting beyond the joke. Every single season we have this kind of shite. Either we're no checking players properly when signing or our rehabilitation is garbage. Hopefully the new chairman looks into this. Happening far too often to be bad luck or coincidence.

Re: Nicky Clark

I think the Clark situation is just bad luck, he had no lengthy injury history before he arrived.

Re: Nicky Clark

Our injury record is no worse nor any better than at other clubs.
Are we signing crocks? No!!
Chill.
James Keatings sadly had other issues.

Re: Nicky Clark

the annoyance is that it doesn't seem to matter who it is an even with minimal injury they seem to suffer setback after setback and alot down to our medical staff.

Exactly. Happens far too often. Ok, maybe Clark wasn’t a crock beforehand but he’s suffering the same “setbacks” that seem to happen every season.
