Like it or not, what he did is deemed to be racist.

I can't say it offends me because I'm not black.  I also tend to laugh at people's attempts at stereo-typing Dundonian and Scottish folk, so I doubt I would take offence if I was black.  Maybe I'm not the best one to comment.

Oooooohhhh yeeeeeaaaaaah!!

Re: Jamie Robson

The comments regarding this from our fans on here and social media are fucking ridiculous ken that.

How many white people will have done similar and nobody will have batted an eyelid?

Re: Jamie Robson

When Mark Walters started playing for Rangers it was perfectly normal for people to chants monkeys sounds and throw bananas, and when I was about 8,words like flid, spastic, and mong (and probably worse) were in my vocabulary.

Times have changed, and there is no turning back the clock. You might not like those changes (personally I think things have gone a little too far), but you can't ignore those changes.

They managed to wangle out of the last incident by being satisfied that the drink wasn't alcoholic. Maybe it wasn't him?

He wasn't drinking it & was he even driving at the time?
Reading on here you'd think he'd got 5 years for being 10 times over the limit.
It was a picture prank, silly to a degree, but again, nobody got killed.
Give the boy a phukn break, it's us he plays for, not the Fun, not the huns.

Which is why i said 'alleged'.

Tell you what though if he was drinking behind the wheel (even a sip) he's a fucking stupid little boy. And just as stupid for letting his pals film it.

If he was my Son i'd go through him for that.

And i couldn't give a flying fuck if he was a Utd player either. Idiotic in the extreme.

p.s. i'm pretty sure from memory he did drink the beverage (which looked like a venom).

This time i will give him a by though. As i genuinely believe his actions were intended to be totally harmless.

Minor point here but i dont actually think its illegal to take a swig of alcohol while driving. I think its just if you are over the limit then obviously becomes illegal.
Not for one minute saying its right.

Re: Jamie Robson

wants to get these silly twats splattering all over social media to fk.  If ever someone should be focusing on his football you'd think it'd be him.

Clearly needs better people around him. Get off the social media and focus on football.  Picture isnt great is it, not offended by it whatsoever but it's a bit fucking tone deaf.  Not that it's racist... but that you'd hope he'd be focused on football whereas that fucking costumes probably taken him all week to come up with.

Needs guidance

Not illegal to take a swig, perhaps.

But certainly nothing to be laughing and joking about as he was on the aforementioned video.

Agree with your post above RRDH. He needs some new mates and better influences.

Not that i'll think he'll be our problem much longer. Can see him out on loan in January, possibly never to return.

Re: Jamie Robson

Boys a nugget.  What he has done is generally known to be a completely against acceptable behaviour.  In a week when boys are making monkey chants from the stands again, this is not the kind of thing our club needs.
Of course he shouldn't get the sack, but given he failed to learn his lesson last time around perhaps a hefty fine or a good hard kick in the goolies might work better.

Maybe just as well we are in the fizzy pop - perhaps nobody in the press will pick it up...

Re: Jamie Robson

A wee ‘you’re off to League 2 on loan, and you might not come back’ might do.

He should never ever have got kept on this summer. He’s extremely lucky for that.

Ignoring that culturally oblivious last part I'll say that I actually see far far more people being offended by the "pc police" than folk being offered fed by Robson himself. Pots and kettles all round. Loads of folk raging they can't do racist stuff anymore as society has had enough of normalising it.

Fail to see why you woukd get offended by that? Why is it offending you personally?

More to worry in about in life than that.

Personally I'd be more offended if he was wearing a kkk outfit.

Re: Jamie Robson

All over the papers.  There has to be some punishment here for once again bringing the club's name into the press in association with the wrong type of story.
OK it's no Goodwillie-esque, but its still totally stupid.  By the way if it wasn't considered racist the papers wouldn't be covering it.  All very well folk on here saying they are not offended, but the discrimination laws are to protect the victims not the puzzled bystanders...

Re: Jamie Robson

I always thought when you put on fancy dress, you were trying to look like that certain character, I didn't realise you represented a race of people.
My old mum dressed me up as "Fu Man  Chu" as a kid, didn't know I was fucking off the entire Asian race.

I don't know a lot, but I know what I like!

I'll give you that, they might be.

Might also be a ready made excuse if or when investment fails.

I feel Robson, if he'd been a star player in different circumstances, wouldn't have had the backlash we've seen from some fans.

Nah, I think he gets it because he appears to have an attitude problem.  Folk are probably a bit peeved that a not so great footballer continues to do stupid stuff when he should be knuckling down and taking his opportunity to make himself financially secure - young lad though...

...... because a kkk outfit is worse so we should ignore everything else. I'm not telling you to be offended but I tend to listen to certain races or orientations as to how these things hurt them and affect their lives and have a dark history rather than putting my fingers in my ears and saying it doesn't affect me so fuck everyone else.

Yup. I do understand it can be problematic. I also do think there's too much being made out of this incident tho. Too many folk nowadays want to be offended and I think you are one of them. I'll leave it at that.

Re: Jamie Robson

World's gone mad. My mate blacked up and was dressed as ba baracus at a Halloween party last year. Not one mention of racism. If a black man decided to dress up as a white celebrity or person it would not offend me one little bit. This outrage culture we live in is getting ridiculous, people feel like it shows them in a good light to condemn the actions of others.

The laddie is young and hasn't had the best time playing for us recently but give the boy a break he's only doing what many other people and older are doing and have a bit of fun dressing up
