Always loved the black strip with red socks.
Think this is 66-67.
Well my name's Mudd, I've spoken to one of Hamish's relatives and shown them the image and it is Hamish between Jimmy Briggs and Jim Cameron.

Think this is 66-67.Might be later Season Pat. Wilson Wood (back left) and David Wilson (front right) in the photos, and so is Kenny Cameron (left of Gillespie), they didna sign till the 67-68 Season.
Think it is a tachless Hamish bud.
Found this ain ...

Promotion tae the top league...
30 April 1960. was 16000 inside Tannadice to see United finally reach the top division.Seen the pic of the final whistle pitch invasion many a time but never noticed what seems to be a partition at the end of the shed, was never there by the time I started going. unless its an optical illusion from the camera.

Just noticed this: you're right, very like Keith in the 'sixties!
In that promotion picture, I think that's the old stand to the left.
EDIT: I'm reliably informed, from someone who is much older than me (and I'm surprised can send text messages ) that the picture does show a part of the Shed, a partition which was on the side of it, which was still there the following season.

Good old monochrome, black and white strips, black and white boots. None of your peach, pink or flesh coloured nonsense...

No sure Pat - mibbee a bitty earlier.
Frannie Munro (back 2nd right) he left start oe 66-67 Season to Wolves
Bobby Carroll (middle 3rd left) he left 66-67 Season, think he went to Northern Ireland team (canna mind oe him)
Think that's Sid Dick (front 2nd left) - he left 66-67 Season to Forfar, did he no hae a brother - Kenny Dick who also played for us
Ian Stewart (front 3rd right) went to Morton but no sure when (canna mind oe him)
I believe that's Ronnie McFall (front 3rd left) he left 66-67 for Glentoran? where he was Manager for many years.
Think the player next to Frannie Munro (back 1st right) might be Ian Thomson, mind he played for Morton for a few years in the 70s, but no sure.
Dinna ken the player between Dennis Gillespie (middle 3rd right) and Jimmy Briggs
Da'en meh haed in this Pat.

Billy: post 125's picture is season 1968-9, according to Arab Archive.
But................ surprisingly....................Arab Archive has the picture from #161, with the Scottish Daily Express advert cropped out, as being season 1966-67!
Maybe depends on the point of the season the photo was taken (no transfer windows then), maybe players missing were injured, maybe Arab Archive is mistaken.
PS, it looks like an error.

You're great at this, Billy! The (?), is that maybe a young Tommy Millar? Before his comb over style?

Only coz I recognise some of the more famous faces (eg Wattie Carlyle, Neil Mochan etc). The rest are faces from pictures I've seen on here, in books and other places.
If ye go back 1 Season, I'll only be a twinkle in my auld man's eye.
