According to Wiki he never scored for Newcastle and only played for them 3 times.

Good shout.
The big man only scored one goal for them in the Premiership. A 1st minute goal in a 1-1- home draw at Everton in season 95/96. Still a goals a goal and it means he meets the criteria.
Scored a lot of goals for them in the Championship and both cups though.
