On the Bayern game btw.
Arab Archive don't give the scorers.
Now i've spoken to Andy McLaren about that game previously and he said from memory Badger scored.
But i'm pretty sure it was reported in the papers the next day as the aforementioned Dragutin Ristic who actually scored that day. Think Andy might be getting mixed up with Badger scoring in the Selangor game.
Also (again going from a hazey memory of reading the next days papers) that it was Jean Pierre Papin who scored for Bayern.
Anyone know for definite?
p.s. mental that Utd went out there and never took even one photo or any footage.

I'm sure it was Papin who scored, not sure why I know that though!
As a side-note, was it not on this tour that Gordon Wallace came on as a sub in one of the games? Think he was in his mid-50s at the time.

That was in the Trinidad Tour just right after we won the Cup.
Think it was more a 'holiday/piss up' than a tour going by the stories i heard.

Ristic is listed as the scorer in 'The Independent'
Leeds United, the Australian Olympic Squad and Flamengo played in the same tournament, along with the Selangor Select. I've got a feeling Flamengo beat Bayern Munich in the Final of the tournament.

As I recall United only signed Ristic & Jorgensen after we won the cup so the trialist must have been a diddy or McLean wasn't prepared to stump up the money.
