Re: Stevie Wonder

It is a travesty that with all the fantastic songs he has written the one to get to number one was I just called to say I love you.

I'd say more a reflection on the musical tastes of the U.K. general public rather than Stevie (he actually had 2 U.K. no.1's if you include 'Ebony and Ivory' his collab with Paul McCartney).

Had TEN no.1 hit singles in U.S. over 3 decades. For context.

This here 👇 is fucking amazing. Listening on headphones you always hear things you don't on records (the first time i properly heard the hare krishna's chant i was strangely hooked).

Re: Stevie Wonder

For as much as he is credited for his songwriting and musicianship (and fucking rightly so), he is often overlooked as, well, just a great vocalist.

Absolutely tears it up here.

Re: Stevie Wonder

Again not only a great ballad but also what a vocal.

The chorus inparticular 👌

Agreed Sir.

'Talking Book' is also immense.

And 'Secret Life of Plants' also has it's moments (particulary the amazing title track).
