Sow was close to joining hearts for a fee in summer, think that one might be unlikely unless on a loan till jan but would take pawlett in a heartbeat always thought he was a player

Happy wee neilson and we can all pray tonight he gets us back upBarry F'n Robson?!! His interview with Si Ferry was not for the managerial vacancy at Tannadice.
I didn't say it was, did i?
I do know one thing though, had we appointed Robson you'de be on here saying you were 'over the moon', 'high as a kite' and praising Mike Martin for a 'brave appointment in line with the fans thinking'.
Or something.
You on the rag week mr tek? Awfy grumpy

Realistically, if we can get to 2/3 points off the top come New Year, I’m ok with it.
Obviously I’d rather be top & clear. But, again, realistic.
Ayr will fade, Shankland will either go or sign a pre contract in January. One man team.
It’s important to keep in touch with Ross County. (currently 6 ahead)

Same views as you regarding Ayr/Shankland
Thing with ross county we can really do with them hitting a very bad run as they will throw money at players in january. We need to keep as close to or above them imo.

Pretty happy considering some of the names being touted around. Hopefully can turn Robson's form around given he played similar position. Will there be any cash available to him given how many guys we signed on long deals?

Mike Martin's reply to a question regarding how much flexibility there will be in backing Robbie in January or sooner was exactly this...
"We're very keen having selected Robbie, to back him properly.
I think as Robbie has already said, he's impressed with the squad that we have at the moment and so we're not intending andhoping not to have wholesale change in January.
The last few transfer windows have been very active for us and not always successfully and so we're keen to bring a bit of stability to the club overall and that includes developing and working with the squad that we have with selective additions when it's required."

Like loaning out Barton till his 2 years are up and getting in a player with a bit of heart.

What a very contradictory reply that is.
Mike Martin reminds me of a politician.

Not the kind of thing you would expect a female to say. I think you are trying to kid us, MR Lochee Fleet!
Wait, are you saying LF reminds you more of a SHEDBOY? 😀
There's only one way to find out - get him/her to reverse a car.
With apologies to LF if necessary.
Just bumped into a 1st team player who said amongst other things -
- the players are all delighted
- the squad has not been fit
- training is now totally different
- points should be gathered in the interim but could take 3 - 4 weeks to get up to speed
- thinks it will be between us & Ross Cty

Been wondering if Osman Sow, Aidan Nesbitt or Peter Pawlett, all not getting much game time after Robbie signed them for MK Dons, are likely future targets?
Or another signing, Conor McGrandles, who has suffered a double leg break in his young career: maybe the sort of player our medical team will give an A+ fitness pass to. Or even Robbie Muirhead, luckily under contract at the Pars right now................................ but our new manager has signed him twice!
I do think the board will realise that Robbie Neilson will require a fair bit of leeway with the budget in the January window.
If we hadn’t given our machine gun to the chimpanzee, sorry I meant the entire transfer budget to our previous manager, I’d have more faith in this.
Unfortunately I think Neilson will have to get us up with what he’s been stuck with, barring some sort of miraculous exodus of our duds to other teams.

I'm hoping he gives young Glass a bit more game time, at least he has a bit of unpredictability about him, no like some of the slabber robots, but hopefully RN knocks that out of them, and gives them freedom to play but still with responsibilities.

Apparently Neilson has been at 3 or 4 of our games before going to the thistle v ross county game saturday past.
If true he must see something in some of our players to accept the job and worl with the majority of them.

A mate I work with knows the players well and socialises with a number of the players at the weekends showed me a few texts and snapchats from some of the them. Would seem even after day or two in charge they are delighted with Neilson and his plans to take them fwd. Not surprisingly the players thought Shabba was an idiot with no clue. Night and day from before apparently.Players have been told it will going back to basics 4-4-2 - 2 up front at home.

I haven’t been this excited about any appointment since Levein. It might take him a few weeks to get this team up and running due to the Csaba hangover, but I really believe Robbie’s the man to get us back where we belong. He has a real steel about him, and has you believing every word he says without being too over the top with his promises and statements. Think the players will really want to play and win for him.
Heard along with Crawford, he’s trying to get Dillon back as a coach. Might be next season due to his playing commitments with Montrose. Could be on Levein’s advice, as he seemingly tried to get Dillon in at Hearts as a coach when he left us, but he wanted to keep playing.
