Again no consideration given to fans of clubs from outside Glasgow, as it was important to make sure that the Parkhead and Ibrox mob didn't have to play on the Saturday, or outside the city of Glasgow.
To add into the stupidity, Hearts fans will have to travel through the Celtic support to get to the west end of Hampden, as the Glasgow twins have to get their own 'ends' as well as their own dressing rooms and most likely their own tame referees.
Further, no trains from Aberdeen arrive prior to the kick off on Sundays.
But you can bet the Glasgow clubs' supporters will complain that the arrangements put in place are there to favour their rivals.

Yet another example of why they should have closed Hampden down.
Scottish football is all about Glasgow.

Shambolic decision yet again from those in charge of running and promoting Scottish football.
So many things wrong with this it’s hard to know when to start.

I think it's a great decision.
Hope it ends in mayhem.
P.s. wouldn't be taking my kid anywhere near Hampden on that day.

Lol. I'm with you TEK, this will be an absolute riot. Hopefully the first game goes to extra time and penalties just to keep the games even closer together. You couldn't have planned it any better for making trouble. The middle aged Stone Island mid life crisis boys will be licking their lips

total fucking shambles
Doncaster lied once more when he stated there was a legally binding contract that both matches had to be played at Hampden, even although it was clear that this was never the case. We, the fans, are paying his inflated wages.
If a change is happening, the obvious one is Sevco (Glasgow) v Aberdeen in Edinburgh, kicking off later than noon. So rest assured it won't be that one that changes.

Just a total fuck up that they are being forced to look at changing having been made to look like complete fucking idiots once again.

The distance from Aberdeen to Glasgow/Edinburgh is about the same Pat.

Aye. I'm talking about neutrality and fairness.
In a fair world, since the situation has been caused by the spfl not looking at the overall fixture lists and acting accordingly (which the English authorities took into account) and them then trying to appease the Glasgow twins, Aberdeen and Hearts should be catered for in a more sensible manner.

I'm not sure Hearts fans would agree with you Pat that being still expected to go to Glasgow to play the Double Treble Winners rather than play them in Edinburgh is treating them in a more 'sensible manner'.
The changes would mean only 2 sets of fans (Aberdeen + Celtic) will be travelling out of town rather than 3 if you switch the fixtures to the other stadiums.
I'm sure Scotrail would be in favour of the former situation rather than the latter.

About 24 miles difference though it would probably take about the same time. Getting over that bridge and driving thru corstorphine to get to murrayfield will be a pain in the arse.

To be honest, I've such a downer on the football authorities that it perhaps clouds my judgement and opinions.
In simple terms, the SFA fucking up Hampden and assisting Celtic and "Rangers" throughout history to become giants means that there is a huge imbalance in Scottish football regarding football stadiums and their location, the concentration of three big football grounds in Glasgow leading to problems when it comes to the semi-finals most years.

There are no other suitable alternatives tho. I dont think murrayfield is the answer. Edinburghs a shambles getting in and out of. Imagine if we were playing aberdeen in a final at murrayfield. It would cause gridlock .
A new stadium near M80,M8,M74,M73 imo would be the best bet.

Agreed for the reasons you stated.

How Doncaster can survive this I'll never know. He walks from one PR disaster to the next and still he survives.

It's the League Management Committee, I think, who takes the decisions. Doncaster is just the front man, and is handsomely paid to take the flak for their joint ongoing errors.
Presently, the committee is
SPFL Chief Executive Neil Doncaster, Chairman Murdoch MacLennan and independent non-executive director Karyn McCluskey.
Ladbrokes Premiership representatives:
Alan Burrows (Motherwell), Peter Lawwell (Celtic), and John Nelms (Dundee).
Ladbrokes Championship representatives:
Warren Hawke (Morton) and Martin Ritchie (Falkirk).
Ladbrokes League 1 and League 2 representative:
Iain Dougan (Stranraer).
Lawwell as an 'interested party' had no input to the semi final decisions.
The entire management board should be changed.
