Agree with Glass.

Get him in. And no Robson / Loemba. Too weak

Don't like slating young players but for me Jamie Robson has been very poor and targetted as a weak link for Utd for quite some time now.

He must turn it round (and quick) if he is to have a future at Tannadice.

Rakovan needs dropping should give Siegrest a chance

If there's a time to deserve a go it's now.

Fyvie for Rabbitsch. That's all.
Give them a chance for redemption, if they downed tools to get rid of the manager we owe them a  favour.
Stanton & Glass on from bench.

Keeping Shankland quiet is the key.  We managed re Dobie earlier in the season so I'd go with that team, whatever it was.

We played 3 at the back and presumably five in midfield which presumably snuffed out service to Dobbie until they sussed us out at half time and we were under the cost second half (from what I read in the press - maybe someone who was there could confirm this).

Not sure how Ayr are set up formation wise but McCall does normally favour an attack mixed approach as does Naysmith so it might work.

UPDATE. Aird out injured. King in? Or keep Rabbitsch? Stanton not quite ready for a start.

Nicky Clark has returned to training but it is too early for him (against Ayr) according to Ellis.

Stanton, Fyvie and King have trained well all week also.

Not going tomorrow, don't know if anybody's interested but, Ayr are showing it live for £7:50, so if you've got a VPN you can still see the match, that's what I'll be doing anyway.

I don't know a lot, but I know what I like!

Re: Ayr United v Dundee United - Saturday 6th October

at least Laurie's interviews are better i actually watched that one.  I still think its nut to think someone who was a coach for a year at Raith assistant here for 2 and caretaker for 2 games is in contention to be our next manager.

Woke this morning with butterflies in my stomach but poor old Laurie Ellis must be sh!tting himself!
Good luck Laurie & all the players.
Is there a new dawn?

Sitting on the train down, worrying about our defence, especially LB position, whether Ellis, will put out Fyvie, Stanton/Glass from the get go to get a quick grip of the game and hopefully get a couple of early goals before we start concieding. But not overly confident of getting a result. Preparing for the worst, hoping for the best. Edited to add that the squad the Tek proposed is the team I'm hoping is fielded today.
