Ian McCall asked on Radio Scotland if he would be interested in the Dundee United job.
He replied 'no comment'.Wouldnt want him anywhere near the home dugout at tannadice again!!!!
Nor would I. Had his chance and blew it despite having a veritable fortune to spend on players, by United's standards.
In other news apparently Gordon Young has indeed applied for the job.

Fuck Ian McCall. He’s the last thing we need.

Where do you hear that Tek?

McCall is suited to the type of job he is in now at Ayr. Underdog with less money and expectation where his ego is easily fed. I actually don't think he's a bad manager but he was given waay too much cash at Utd.

Was actually impressed by gordon young when he was here with mixu really not sure I’d take him back as manager though

Gordon Young was Mixu's assistant when we went down and Hartley's assistant when Falkirk went all to fuck. He did ok for us in a couple of games when expectations couldn't be lower and the opposition had nothing to play for. That would be a bigger gamble than most of the other names mentioned.

If he thinks getting Dundee United promoted from the Championship is 'unrealistic' then I'm not sure I'd want him anyway.

Gordon Young didn't notice he'd picked two ineligible players in one of the few games he was on charge of.
Robbie Neilson lives with his family in central Scotland presently.

Gordon Young got points in very meaningless games.
We're all nominating candidates but I've not seen one selection that isn't followed by a large question mark.
This sums up what is really a random selection process. You really don't know what you're going to be getting.
Our next appointment needs to be a lucky one, that's all, cos we haven't a Scooby how the new man is going to perform. Heads he'll do well, tails he won't. And it's all been tails recently.

I don't think that was GY's fault.
Relieved re Neilson's family's whereabouts. Apologies for my fake news re the family staying down south post MK Dons.

As opposed to Laurie Ellis who got points in very meaningful games?

I'd want Wright but think it's highly unlikely.
Think a manager from out with the UK may be too much of a gamble.
Guess at least Nielsen has experience of this league.... but would want to hear more about his style

Not fully but he should have known. Southern should have known but instead the buck landed with a lassie in the office.

Of course it was, or didn't he pick the team?

Only going by Transfermkt, but his teams were sent out in a variety of formations when he managed at Tynecastle:
At MK Dons he appears to have favoured one up front.

What a lot of nonsense
You try saying that in any other walk of life when hiring someone and you’ll get your jotters
The problem with our last appointments is they have all been done by men who have no clue about football
I include Eddie Thompson in the mix with that
The only time he got lucky was when there was an obvious candidate
It is there job to do their due diligence and make a selection based on that
If MM has put in this great infrastructure behind the scenes that I keep hearing about, this shouldn’t be too big an ask
It’s not like this hasn’t been on the cards for a while

Badger seemingly being refused an interview because he’s never coached on Scotland.

I don’t know any different. But it’s all guesswork just now isn’t it.
Billy McKinlays said he’s ok with the boy plastering that all over Facebook? Pinch of salt (for me anyway)

May not be true, but I have no reason to doubt the guy.
There’s been plenty of rumours the last few years and there’s plenty folk that are not to be believed. I’ve never stumbled across this guy before as one of those. Plus it’s perfectly believable tbh.
