Scotland v Albania

McLeish's first 'proper' game and it already feels like a bit of a 'must win' game.

SFA have done him no favours at all arranging the friendlies we have had against completely superior opposition.

We should have been trying to breed confidence in the run up to the Nations Cup.

And that only happens by winning matches.

Re: Scotland v Albania

Totally agree. Don't see the point in playing top teams in friendlies unless there's a real belief we could fluke a result and send us up the rankings to our benefit.

If yer dain that then cut the price and fill the stadium and make it a place to play against as well as a team to play against.

Prices are OK for the morn. Taking ma wee lass. £5 and £10 for kids, £20-£30 for full paying adults.

Re: Scotland v Albania

Taking my wee boy too mate (his 1st ever Scotland game).

Hope we can play well and win well.

As it stands none of the other UK sides have even a point in this tournament yet, so would be nice to buck the trend for a change and have envious eyes on us.

I'm as passionate as you get at the fitba mate. Adding the possibility of a wee broken heart to my already stressed oot club and country situations has me in a place different from ever before.

When we win it's better than ever though bud eh.

Oh absolutely.

The rough times just make the good times all the sweeter when they come round again.

And they will come round again.

Wales beat ROI on Friday.

Whilst still a bit confused by this tournament the idea of replacing friendlies with competitive matches makes sense. Friendlies are pointless and just don't appeal to fans anymore. Although having groups of 3 teams still means there are going to be plenty of friendlies.

Oh did they mate?

That result passed me by, I must confess.

Not a big fan of the Welsh tbh. Still bitter about that diving bastard Bale robbing Scotland in Levein's last game in charge of Scotland.

Never watched the game, good to see that Russel got a game though.

Him and Naismith starting together raised a few eyebrows, but i felt they both done well.

Naismith in particular. 2 goals, another chopped off and hit the post.

Was a handful all night.

Re: Scotland v Albania

It was a solid win and we played well. Hopefully we can push on from here, thought Russell did well, was good to see him get a start.

Who at the SFA is organising our friendlies though? Can't believe we are playing Portugal next. Should be playing teams around our level.

Re: Scotland v Albania

I was mair stressed at ref and our right side but happier with win, chances created and luck. Crowd being pish worked for us as view was better away fae front row seats booked fur bairn's view.

Surprised to see JR and Soapy start. They did OK. Soapy gettin booked for that heeder was criminal at any time zone in refereeing.

JR was lively as fk and will score for Scotland soon if given mair chance. Including fans POTY a while back we had 5 ex United players on the pitch. I will be taking a holiday fur Israel game on 20th of November and taking my wee lassie again.
