Re: Most Disappointing Signing

Misse Misse was pretty disappointing considering the pedigree he came with. But has to be Mathie overall, considering how much he cost too. Jesus, we were spun king money all over the place in them days.

It's not where you're from it's where you're at.

very harsh on Scott Crabbe, agree that he never recovered from the leg break in Motherwell cup game, he had some good games for us before then, cracking free kick against Aberdeen in front of the shed.

Should have said that I’m not blaming Scott Crabbe himself, I’m just gutted that he didn’t make as big an impact as he did at Hearts.

I'm with Macho Man on that one.

Scott Crabbe was (for me) a huge disappointment. Was astonished when we signed him from Hearts as he was one of the best (if not they best) young players in Scottish football at the time.

It never quite happened for him at Utd for whatever reason, albeit he produced the odd flash of class.

Ironically I thought one of his best games was at Fir Park that famous night of Welshie's right footed 'postage stamp' job.

This was also,of course, the night Crabbe sadly broke his leg (for the 2nd time?)

Crabbe was superb that night, until the leg break.

Roger Boli

2 disallowed goals in his debut, 1 goal and left after 5 appearances.

Spunked £30 on a top with his name on it then tried to pick it off and was left with a glue patch Boli on my back for the season (or two if this was a 2 season strip)

Boli’s a good shout.  Both those goals disallowed wrongly.  Always wondered how well he’d have done if they’d stood, may have been massively different.

That match down at Kilmarnock was a disgrace. Mind Gordon Marshall handling the ball outside the box, a sending off 20 years ago. McCurry (aye, him) gave a foul, so had seen the incident, but didn't send the keeper off, a decision praised by the media/press, who all agreed that following the rules would have 'spoilt the match'.

We played really well, Boli scoring two perfect goals, both disallowed by Mike 'Great Goal Nacho' McCurry.

But when you see the action from the weekend past, the officials are just as bad as ever, possibly worse.

Spot on.  Our referees have been hopeless as long as I’ve been watching the game.
