Re: transfer deadline

Totally got the fear about Danish players now after our Danish 'strikeforce' from last season.

Not sure a 24 year old who's barely played any matches is what we need, but i guess at least he's on trial first so if he's rotten we can send him packing.

Re: transfer deadline

If Mathias Thrane signs, I hope he's more Dossing or Berg than Ling or Mikkelsen. Or Flies. Or Jorgensen.

Re: transfer deadline

The Tele’s saying we’ve knocked back the chance to sign Swanson. His agent offered him to us and we turned them down. Pretty disappointing, especially with him now looking likely to join Ross County.

Re: transfer deadline

Time will tell if Shabba is correct to avoid Swanson.
I dont believe the 1st division is the place for an ageing  ballplayer. what the last couple of years have shown me is that it is ok to kick people at this level. I thonk Shabba has got this right.

Re: transfer deadline

If we’re not going for Swanson, or someone established who we’ve identified as one who’ll improve our team, I’d much rather we gave Glass a proper opportunity to be the creative midfielder we’re looking for, than take a punt on one of these diddies we’ve got on trial. Boy’s got something about him, and bringing in boys for the sake of it is only going to hinder his development.

What a lift it would give everyone to see one of our own coming through and being the next Armstrong/Gauld etc.

Csaba said earlier this week that people that had turned us down earlier were now offering themselves to us. Said he didn't want people that weren't keen to join us when first asked. Just wondering if Swanson comes into this category.

Big move, doesn't work out, sign for Hearts or Aberdeen or maybe Hibs if really unlucky.

It's not where you're from it's where you're at.

Got to agree Beharder.
Swanson NOT a good fit for us.
And if he does fall into the 'agent crawling back' category then even more so.
Having said if there's a tasty 'acb' category case elsewhere then I'd easily hide my morals

Re: transfer deadline

I have just been speaking to Stefan Scougall's dad at my work and he has just told me that Stefan has fallen out with Tommy Wright and is available on loan, now this could be the signing we need for the creativity in midfield. Obviously not sure it is an option as he was saying Stefan's agent has been in contact with Motherwell but just think its a loan option we should definitely be exploring, his dad even said that he expected him to probably move to a Dundee United/Dunfermline type team.

Re: transfer deadline

He (Swanson) might turned us down before, so what?

We were a basket case club and he obviously wanted to make a go of it at his boyhood team.

It might not be the 2010 version of Swanson who would have returned but to get a player in of his undoubted raw ability would have gave the whole club a lift.

Be a slap in the face if he goes to County imo.

Already have a bad feeling about tomorrow's deadline day 'dealings'.

One of Ross County’s managers came out today and said they’re not interested in him either, thankfully.

Re: transfer deadline

Re: transfer deadline

Im not sure if the laddies heads in it tbh. I wonder if the court case recently is still having an affect on him.

3 clubs pretty much publicly coming out to deny interest.

Re: transfer deadline

Not sure about Swanson; was a great wee player for us but the ex-player thing coming back rarely works out for us.  I might be wrong and I have not looked up his stats but it seems like he has hardly played over the last 2 or 3 years?

When you look at who we want shot of its maybe not that surprising.
Keatings and Mcmullan not good enough for top flight but could we risk giving them to rivals?
Can't get shot of Edge until there's definitely a replacement so maybe too late to move him on for now.
Doubt there'd be much interest in Scobbie...

keatings and McMullen I doubt will go now so I hope they are both used from Saturday onwards.

edge wont go until his agent finds him another club, We have cover in that area and with the Algerian boy looking likely to sign tomorrow. I imagine his agent will be struggling to find him a club on or near to the wages he is on with us.
Scobbie is finished and should just be given the brown envelope and told to fuck off.
