From those from within the club, yes.
There’s plenty of fans that accept it too

Why is it that the internet superfans who have insisted that these games should be treated as
meaningless pre season friendlies raging now we have lost them?

Where did this happen?
Anyway, to Csaba once again: in a pm the other day I presented the following theory regarding his continued employment.
"the only thing that gives me a wee bit of hope is that the ST sale might allow new investment to move along faster, this in turn why we are holding on to Csaba until a new set of decision makers are in place."
Do you think it's possible that MM (as suggested via the Foundation) is still in negotiations with investors, and, if true, they have their own man in mind following a takeover?

Havent seen that at all.
I think they should be treated as friendlies and dont really care that we've lost them.

What gets and astounds me it the number of United fans referring to these last three games as pre-season games.
Idiot pus might be treating them as such, but they're fucking not, it's a major cup competition that we'd all have given our left bollock to win in 2008 until Kerr intervened.
Also astounded at the number of our fans who are so vociferous in their berating of Kerr, yet are perfectly ok with Murdoch in the team, who sold two goals v Livvi in the playoffs that we lost by one goal.

Not a word of that can be disagreed with.

If that is the case Pat.
I find this stance wholly unaccaptable.
This supposed 'takeover' has rumbled on for bloody months.
Mike Martin is in charge. The buck stops with him. He lives and dies as Chairman by HIS decisions.
If these American investors want to buy us then a deadline should be put on it. If it doesn't happen this week, we move on. Thompson is now away afterall. There should be no more hold-up's.
We can't operate on the never never or be held to ransom by people who haven't put a penny into the club yet.
The show must go on.
If László is in the dug-out at Borough Briggs then Mike Martin himself should be made to answer why.

Because if you dont treat them that way you dont get a preseason. We've no fucking chance of winning it. Why would you waste your entire preseason going after it.
Pure common sense.

No you have a pre-season prior to the season starting, it’s what pre-season means.
When we were in the premier league we had no chance of winning it, why waste effort on competing in it?
BTW the best pre-seasons are competitive and get players playing in a system, knowing their team mates and fix the starting 11. None of that has came close to happening, partly because we’ve treated these games as an inconvenience.

Barely if you treat this as full on competitive football.

Because we could qualify for Europe, a void relegation... all manor of scenarios which have a massive impact on the club, as we've realized.

Yeah, I'm not here defending the manager,
Just dont give a toss about this competition.
Theyve made a joke of it.

I've tried to be fair and find reasons to give Csaba a chance. Believed that if we bring in a massive change of playing staff we should judge him after that and after a few games. What worries me, even freakes me right oot is how similar we looked lacking in a shitload of ways with so many new players.
If I could have a chat with him I'd ask him if he actually realises why he was brought in and what the fuck difference he makes from RMcK as the predictability is exactly the same, plan B still not even there again and fight missing again(other than the Rabbit). Same heads going down at same times that fucking matter and fuckall fixed that is killing us.
Only one game if yer kind and go with the league but for fuck sake that looked too similar in too many fucking ways to last playing sqaud.

He must be replaced now, if not how much damage will be done to the promotion hopes before he is gone.
I have wanted it to work for him but it clearly is not and the time for changing the manager is now.
Action would be pointless if it came when key promotion rivals had been allowed to build an unassailable lead.

Martin winna do anything just now. He's too stubborn.
But if we loose to Queens next week, Slabber will have to go. It will be a big Yes vote for me in the CLexit Referendum.

No one of the knee jerk reaction brigade but we need answers from the club.
Last year the poor performances were down to Csaba not having his players in the team, he's made a lot of signings brought a lot of players in, his players. I could see the point of using the league cup games as a pre-season, don't agree with it as winning breeds confidence, but understand the approach.
So yesterday and our first league game at home and we get beaten by a team that hasn't beat us for ages, we collapse and concede 3 goals. Our tactics are terrible and no different from when ray was in charge, everyone has worked them out and they clearly don't work when the teams we play against just sit in behind the ball and we can't break them down.
For me the performances are so poor very disorganised and utterly gutless!!
The board have to be sitting Csaba down and asking a couple of fundamental questions:
1. what is your overall game plan and strategy for the team and sqaud
2. When the f@ck is it going to start working and we see the results
If not satisfied with the plan and timeline - Csaba has to go

A post I agree with, to an extent, Lancashire-Arab. But I think we are a good bit worse than when Raymond was in charge.
And the board have to sit Csaba down and ask him to clear his desk, and fuck off.

At least under McKinnon, when at home, you pretty much knew we were getting a result.
Under Laszlo, all bets are off. No team fears coming to Tannadice.
None.
Dunfermline, Alloa & all in between.

Good post and I was with you at start of season. Fair enough use league cup as preseason. Was prepared to say I'd judge after 5 league games. But that yesterday was so dire and bereft of ideas that I just cant see us going anywhere. As you say, this is his fucking squad now. Martin has got to stand up and be accountable as well. All this shite about new signing policy and first priority of the summer was the playing staff... was it fuck.

I think I said something along these lines at the start of last season and received one or two pelters so sad to see “deja vue “ This idea that managers can carry on regardless when their systems aren’t working needs to change and managers need to have some sort of performance review to ensure that sub standard performances don’t continue.

Ken there's been a lotta talk aboot there being too much dough to pay for compensation to Slabber to get rid.
Forgive my arrogance here, but could the DUSF no step up to the mark and provide some funding for this. I mean it was long talked aboot in circles that they were to provide extra finance to the Club, on condition that Thommo was gone. We'll he's been gone several weeks.

The sun are saying he cannot get beat in his next three matches or he is away. Might as well sack him now, what a shambles Martin!

Why are we still allowing this clown to sign players??

I think the Armstrong money would subsidise the pay-offs.
DUSF will have a few thousand pounds in the kitty but a) that is a drop in the ocean and b) the funds they're accumulating should surely NOT be earmarked for helping to sack managers.

I've been paying £25 a month since DUSF began, and would be well fucked off if they used my money for that, and that would be finished, straight away.
