Tbh, I'd take anybody right now, including United hero Jerry Kerr who died in 1999.

I'd take the wifey that used to do the HT draw picking names out of a hat.

Re: Jim McIntyre

He’s who I heard a few weeks ago that we had lined up if things go tits up with Coco. Wouldn’t be my choice, Id rather have Hopkin, but anything’s better than what we’ve got.

At least we’d have good reason to boo at her.  “First out today.... Stewart Murdoch”. Booooooo

Re: Jim McIntyre

I’d have taken McIntyre about 3 managers ago, but not sure now, he made a right mess at Ross Co. plus he’d want to bring that big eared prick with him.

Agreed, he strikes me as a Jackie-esque appointment, there’s better out there that are available.

He also won the league cup at Ross County, but why worry about the positives?

Re: Jim McIntyre

He would be a massive improvement for me and hopefully the 3 man board are seeing sense at long last. McIntyre is course and distance winner for what we are trying to achieve this season.

We must not give him another penny and at least let the new guy get in a couple of players of his own.

Re: Jim McIntyre

Is there any chance Mcintyre may have been there to see what he would have to work with regards playing squad, with a possible view to replacing Laszlo or is was it just a case of an ex player watching a former team in action.

I have tried to be patient with Laszlo but enough is enough.

All I’m saying is his phone was going off like  a good Chinese on a Saturday night! Wasn’t impressed when the third went in and showed with his feet

Re: Jim McIntyre

McIntyre wouldn't be my 1st choice, or 2nd, or 3rd etc.

The argument that 'he's better than Laszlo' shouldn't be the benchmark upon which we appoint the next Manager because fucking literally ANYONE would be a better appointment than him including every single poster on this Forum (and I mean that).

Re: Jim McIntyre

Who do you want, tek?

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Re: Jim McIntyre

Not having a go - do you think it's possible?

On one hand, they are a league above

On the other he's apparently frustrated with his lot in Perth.

Re: Jim McIntyre

We could do worse than have Billy Dodds coach our strikers.

Remember where we are now. Can’t turn our noses up at anyone right now.

Re: Jim McIntyre

The problem is, if we adopt the ‘anyone is better tha csaba’ approach then we might be shooting ourselves in the foot and going all Groundhog Day on ourselves.

The manager is a key appointment and if we do have aspirations to get promoted, we have to future proof the manager as best we can in case we do get back to the premiership. Just appointing for someone because they are better than Csaba could prove to be as bad as sticking with the haverer. IMO.

Oooooohhhh yeeeeeaaaaaah!!

Yes.

We are a bigger club than St.Johnstone (always will be) and he has taken them absolutely as far as he can. And deep down he will know the only way is down now.

He would be a hero here if he takes us up.

Go and get him Mike Martin. Then i will back you.

Re: Jim McIntyre

The job is career suicide ( for anyone who still actually has a career)
we will end up with Yogi, or some otherwise unemployable numpty

Re: Jim McIntyre

Tommy Wright
Hopkin

But would also take Mac 90 and Dodds.

Would be a massive improvement virtually immediately with any of these.

As we have all been saying for feking months, urgent action required.

Anyone who can inject a bit of pace and power into out tactics

Re: Jim McIntyre

What we need is a manager who can organise, who can rally the troops.

A man manager, kick up the arse for one player. Arm round the shoulder for another.

Who can get a short, sharp message across mid-game. And has the ability to shift from 4-4-2 to 3-5-2 when needed.

Now, I don’t know much about McIntyres attributes. Hopkin would be my short term choice.
