Nae danger haha
Given the arithmetic then the club is none the poorer for supporters NOT buying ST's as long as the attendances hold up (& they definitely will if we start winning) with PATG's flourishing.
So somebody goes into the shop today & parts with £350 for a ST. Ponder that his/her contribution subsidises ***** *******'s (insert name of your favourite player) wages for 2 days. Doesn't go far, does it?! I've often wondered about the importance of ST sales, is it no more than a drop in the ocean?
Who'd want to own a Scottish senior football club?

Maybe someone with designs on becoming a committee man or more with the SFA/SPFL? Lots of perks available.

Never used to need a season ticket in the good old lifty over days.

Happy to be corrected if wrong, but as far as I can tell, we've not had a season ticket sales figure update since July 2nd.
I'd be genuinely surprised if we have over 4,000.

PS It looks like we've managed to lose 2,000 season ticket holders in 4 years.

The new reserve league games are scheduled for Tuesday afternoons which should suit retirees in Friockheim.

smedDUm, I sometimes wonder if you post nonsense on purpose. It would take an approximate 2 hour round trip for Friockheim retirees to travel to United's home reserve games. And they'd be attending 24 hours after the games had taken place.

To be fair, even the SPFL forgot there was a Reserve League this season with their early rules on the Challenge Cup. So you are a greater authority than Neil Doncaster.

Curious - looking through fixtures, there's no game at all in November - do reserves get their summer holidays then. (Not a serious question)

3761 now sold
So weve sold 8 in the last 16 days. After saturday that should be it. Not worth it after 2 home games down.
Maybe break the 4000 once the half season tickets come out.
At least we're transparent with our figures. Some clubs (not a million miles away) are too embarrassed to declare their sales.
There too might be an element of STF (Season Ticket Fatigue), Fans are beginning to wonder if it's worth it. I mean miss 3 home games and you break even with patg's. The kids' ones though are brilliant value but that's all to do with marketing I guess.

They announce them early in the off-season, when they believe ours are down, we announce ours a few days later, dwarfing theirs despite our current predicament, and voila.... Radio silence for the rest of the summer.
Season tickets nowadays, like you say, represent little to no value over PATG, miss a couple of Saturdays due to weddings or holidays etc. And you’re already at a loss. It’s something the club really needs to look into.

Definitely all clubs need to consider their pricing structures for season tickets, not just United. Games switched for the telly as well as, as JD says, games missed due to other commitments, mean many fans cannot plan for simple Saturday 3pm football matches.
And before anyone says buying a season ticket shows faith and support in the club(s), rather than seeking value for money, then the club(s) themselves should show faith and support for their fan base(s) by sticking to the announced fixture list, amongst other customer favouring actions.

I normally miss 2 games during the season due to holidays but it's only the second game of the season tomorrow and I'm going to miss it as I have to pick my brother in law up from hospital in Edinburgh tomorrow.
Now at 3805 (final sales this weekend)

Anyone remember at the old baths you could buy a 12-timer, a kind of mini season ticket.
Maybe that's a solution, 12 games for the price of 10 sort of thing.

The solution is simple.
Win games the sales go up
Lose games the sales go down
