The two pens were ridiculous, the two together didn't make one. Arbroath were as astonished as we were to get either award, the 2nd one their No 2 stabs at the ball then falls on his arse, nobody touched him. They didn't even appeal. Madden's useless, what's his agenda?

We are still surprisingly disliked by the rangers
It would appear they will take any opportunity to remind us.
There is a remarkable lack of accountability for referees in our league as there is no tv coverage

You're bang on EHA, one of ST's legacies is he's inadvertently made us hated by The Rangers which means we're hated by 49% of Scottish professional football admin. (49% The Rangers, 49% The Celtic, 2% The Rest). We thought ST had played a blinder when he made the first cut but I'm afraid we're still paying for it big time. Sorry I mentioned this recently but again, evidence Kris Boyd's comment on Sportsound a year or so ago that let the cat out of the bag. Worrying thing is we're not out of the woods yet and 49% of the referees are looking for opportunities to keep doling out the punishment.

It was a midweek Sportsound, the studio was discussing some aspect of our demise when Kris Boyd, who was new to the scene to be fair, Freudian slipped. He commented along the lines of', 'well, what's happening to them just now is only what they deserve, they're getting their come-uppance'. Tom English to his credit just about spewed and KB tried to make some justification for his bizarre comment but only succeeded in digging a deeper hole. I remember wondering at the time if KB would get any more gigs in the media but of course being part of the 49%, he's on fairly frequently still.

Re: Dundee United V's Arbroath - Saturday 14th July (3pm)

Come on, surely we cannae be blaming the referee for that poor performance last Saturday?

And getting questionable decisions against us (which happens to other teams too) didn't start when the previous Rangers started to stumble into liquidation. Referees didn't decide to pick on Dundee United because of ST, whereas they'd been very fair and balanced prior to 2012.

Boyd's comments were along the simplistic 'karma' lines that most of us will have heard before from Ibrox supporters, and English easily put him in his place.

Finally, Stephen Thompson wasn't the one who led the way in ensuring Sevco didn't get direct entry to the top league, he was in favour of this, like the other club owners, until supporters reminded them that football is supposed to be a sport.

We stand corrected Lord Reilly.

Re: Dundee United V's Arbroath - Saturday 14th July (3pm)

Romanov was the first publicly to do this.

Then fan pressure made Thompson come out & block Rangers keeping their then SPL registration.

None of this matters now, any road.

And fuck Kris Boyd.

Re: Dundee United V's Arbroath - Saturday 14th July (3pm)

Hun Madden’s “performance” at the neutral venue when we parped them out the Scottish Cup yet again. Remember that ? Was there for all to see. Still humped them though .

DUFC have frequently been a thorn in the Hun flesh, pumping them oot cups and braw victories.  This is a key factor in the Hun frothing about us. Is it not about 27 years since they actually won a Scottish Cup gehm against us ? They seriously dislike the fact we do not tow the Rangers line but play in “orange”

First pen for Arbroath on Sat was a complete joke, never in a million years. There were several reminders of Maddens Ibrox behaviour during the match. Second was probably a pen haven’t seen it again though. Jamie Robsons muppetry caused that one.

Anyway, phuk the disgraceful mess that is Hun Boyd, nonsense he is on TV giving his clearly ott biased, unprofessional view.

Re: Dundee United V's Arbroath - Saturday 14th July (3pm)

We’ve had duff refs for years, certainly all the Jim McLean years and Bobby Madden and Craig Thompson are first class pricks/hopeless refs. My problem with the Kris Boyd interview was that no one challenged Boyd the 138 EBT beneficiaries or the role tha Murray/Whyte:Green played in the cessation of Rangers as a football club/entity which has to be the standard response to anyone blaming United\ST or anyone else
