Television coverage is terrible, I feel the commentators are the worst ever this year. We're paying for the likes of Lawrenson to be in Russia, and see the studio pundits, why do they have to be in Russia when all they are doing is spouting shite about what they see on a screen, same as us?

Regarding the 'we', 'us', etc when England are playing, even although the coverage is going to the whole British Isles, I don't mind it when England are actually playing. It's to be expected that the pundits and commentators would be supportive of their country.

It's when other games are taking place and the references to England interfere with the coverage. Thus it'll be a relief when they are out.

Back to Lawrenson, thinks he's funny, thick as shit, and also played for the Republic of Ireland, so where does his 'we' come from in relation to England?

Yeah some of the punditry just in general is embarrassing.  This game against Columbia could go either way, same with quarters no matter who wed get.

But... 50/50 shot in both games at least... I'd take that to start the tournament for a good shot at semis.

I felt England could get far this time.

But see in actual fact. They haven't played anyone yet and have been pretty fkn gash the past 2 games.

No goals from outfield play in 210 minutes.Not many chances on target even outwith this.

Sweden will be their first stern test.
 

Watched the game and thought England deserved the win, but generally folk seem to hate the English: this written not from Scotland, but a location with many nationalities. 

I was worried they thought I was English! 

Having been around in 1966 and suffered the pish thereafter over all the years, for the sake of the rest of my life I hope England go out asap. But I appreciate that this presently it is a major boost to the English, who as a nation have made themselves extremely unlikeable with their behaviour over the years, this exacerbated by 'Brexit' and the supremacist reaction of many dense cunts who don't appreciate they are about to be shafted.

There's a 'Rangerness' about the English at times like these. So, to an extent the sooner they're out the better. Which is a shame, because some of their players are decent, as is Southgate. But fuck them.

Not seen all the games but the team who I've seen playing the best football was Japan v Belgium, thought they were superb going forward, just got hit by some really good goals by Belgium.

Thought England were pish against Tunisia, Panama were rotten but you can only beat what is in front of you.  Versus Belgium both teams made too many changes to judge.  Against Colombia they looked very dangerous at set-pieces but pretty stinking otherwise.  They have a good chance to get to the final though but just can't see them beating those France or Brazil sides when it comes down to it.

Belgium v Brazil will tell me a lot about how good either team is. No sure who I want to win this ain.
