Tunisia were terrible and England toiled badly in the second half. Quarter finals at best for England

France toil past Australia and the English pundits go on about how France are nothing special, then England toil past Tunisia but they're gonna win it . Brilliant!! The most delusional set of fans/commentators in the world. For what it's worth if Neymar is crocked they're never gonna have a better chance. Colombia next I reckon then Brazil in the quarters. Germany could be going out if Sweden manage a draw with them.

What a shite World Cup it's been so far.

Agree with you. Still no team scares me. Thought Brazil would be amazing but theyve got that selfish little BASTARD Neymar ruining them. Thought Germany would win it, looked slow and pedestrian against Mexico. Not worried about anyone else other than maybe Belgium. We've as good a chance as about 8 other teams.

England have a chance to win this btw. There has been no OUTSTANDING team.
Probably Croatia tonight are the most clinical I've seen so far.

English media playing a sneaky, "we're no like previous england and we are humble". That will last until a bad ain. They will turn on themselves in the usual way.
Agree it looks good for them with so called big teams struggling. So called shit teams are not shit.
Croatia were the favoutites to win that group. Argies are very undisciplined. Croatia would have a better chance of papping the english oot in the later stages if they get there.
Hard to guess who will win this based on how teams have performed so far.
Won't be england!

Hope you're right. I don't think they're being that humble. I listen to talksport most days and they've been banging on about planning BBQs for the quarter final game. Kept going on about how great England were in the first half but what was the scoreline? 1-1 ffs. I think they're getting more excited about other teams non performances. Hopefully the real Germany and Brazil show up in the next games. They might get Japan next!! I'll be laughing my tadger aff if they lose to them.

I'd say Croatia are the best team I have seen so far. Well organised, solid and look to have excellent players in every position.

The referees are generally pish, and that VAR use is inconsistent.

Unbelievable the way people have turned on Messi as if he's suddenly shit now. They wouldn't even have made the World Cup if not for him in their last qualifier. The amount of pressure on him to win it is unreal. People go on about Ronaldo leading Portugal but I bet hardly any Portugese expected or expect to win it whereas the Argentinians do. I hope they get through now. Tits on the radio said this yesterday "It's a shame they're out as I'd love us to play them and really smash them." There must be a parallel universe where England have won the World Cup countless times and are invincible for these tits to comment like that.

Fucking amazing. We are winning this. Set pieces always massive in these tournaments and ours are a sensation.
Told yous that Roman Torres is shocking.

Said before the tournament that i felt England could do well as ..
1) There is currently no outstanding national side who are streets ahead of the opposition
and
2) The expectation levels had been tempered this time round.
I think as the tournament progresses that as expectation levels get higher and higher that that old hubris could ultimately be their undoing.
If i was the opposition manager i would say stop Harry Kane playing by any means necessary and tell my full backs to push up and ensure as few crosses come into the box as possible. That and not to gove away daft free kicks around the box.
It is an interesting tournament though. It's really open.
Reckon about 9 sides could win it (Argentina, Brazil, Germany, England, Spain, Portugal, Croatia, Belgium).

England have played two really mediocre teams so far and had the lions share of possession in these games, let’s see how they cope against teams that put them under pressure.

If you are including England in that list, then I'd add Mexico and Colombia

Agree with that. Might take Argentina out though. I watch a shitload of Angentinian fitba and they are so far behind other nations when it comes down to tactics. They just attack, that's why I watch it. Want them to do well but can see them papped oot by the majority of better teams.I'd be hapoy to be proven wrong though.

Yeah I am a little nervous about this. I dont mind giving up portions of the game without the ball, just need to remain dangerous going forward. Tournaments past we've just sat back and gotten comfortable playing really deep. Maybe some answers on Thursday.

Against the Belgian "B" team though. Could be better to finish second and avoid Colombia potentially. I still reckon Colombia will top their group though.

I don't think either of them can win the tournament but if we are adding them into the mix we certainly can't leave out Uruguay either.
Ok, so we are all agreed? 12 teams could win this
It is certainly shaping up to be an interesting one.
My tip Argentina playing later today and need to beat Nigeria to progress (won't be easy).

Thon penalty Iran got last night was a joke. Unreal how the ref could look at that over and over again and think that was a pen.

Been reading some of the comments on Twitter from various TV personalities and radio guys. They were spewing about Argentina winning. Fucking great!!! Getting on their high horse about Maradona doing the finger. Heard a cracker saying Gazza was a flawed genius like Maradona but Gazza didn't have any malice in his body---except for battering his wife I take it. Maradona admitted he handled "that" goal and would do the same. Geoff Hurst has been shown by modern technology that his "goal" never crossed the line but still stood there and said it did. Arrogance personified. I hope these wanks get put out in the most painful controversial way. A dodgy VAR decision would be ace.

Thought Argentina looked really good in the first half last night - their attitude was so much better than the first two games. That pen was such a daft pen to give away - especially since the corner that led to it was a total fuck up too.
Would love to see them beat England at some stage and watch Maradona get it right up them!

We are winning this. Germany out now as well. Only teams I'm really concerned about are Spain and Croatia. Argentina can fuck right off.
