Love New Gold Dream , Sparkle In The Rain and Once Upon A Time they got wanky after that but the title track of Street Fighting Years is braw thing. Since then though -pretty rank.

Re: simple minds

my favourite ever band and arguably scotlands greatest... they went to fuck after once upon a time, some argue it was well before that..but by then they'd had EIGHT albums,,,no many can say they had eight albums then became one of the biggest bands in the world

the sound of their first three albums were well ahead of their time..then sons of fascination is an absolute classic...empires in dance is also a cracker, sparkle in the rain and new gold dream are in my top 3 albums of all time...once upon a time is also a classic but the start of their downward spiral into beliving the hype and going from experimental into selling out, fae the barras into thinking they could save the world and releasing white doves on stage and acting the toby...see coldplay

songs...jeez i'd be here ah day...Chelsea Girl, The American,Sweat in Bullet, someone somewhere in summertime,I travel,Celebrate, in trance a mission, seeing out the angel, boys from brazil, new gold dream, hunter and the hunted, speed your love to me, east at easter, shake of the ghosts... all classics

I take it your fascination with Ice T was a momentary blip Daddy K?

Hear their shout, hear their roar
They've probably had a barrel of ale and much, much more
Hooray, hooray, hooray, yeah
Over the hill went the swords of a thousand men
