Interesting to see that all the new players, and contract extensions are all for 2 years.
Part of Martins 'stability' plan?

That crossed my mind the other day, the players are being contracted to May 2020, while the manager has a deal until 2019.............
Now, it seems many of us here think Csaba will have to be let go of by October this year, leaving another to have the same old excuse of 'not my players'! Unless the fall back plan is for Luggy to take over again.

I think thats been the plan since luggy was brought on board.

That's Sam Wardrop signed. Thought it would be a loan deal, but it's another two year contract.

Been happy with our recruitment so far I must say

Good stuff, hopefully that’s the full back positions sorted for the first time in about 3 years.
Time will tell, but the players we’re bringing in so far give me a bit of hope for this season, all still relatively young with something to prove in the game, not useless SPL mercenaries like Scobbie and Quinn.

Hopkin leaving Livi might be good news for us. There’s a few players that would do a job in this division for us. Byrne, who we’ve obviously been linked to, Pittman was one of the best players in the division last year. The boy Halkett at the back and dare I say even Funster Gallacher looked like the Row Z defenders we’ve needed for a long time.

Happy the way things are going so far but this would be a bad signing IMO. See too much of Billy King in Aird.

King is a better technical player than Aird, but lacks confidence and heart.
Aird is much more direct, but very inconsistent. Played well towards the end of the season there, when he was looking for a contract.

still waiting on leaders, none of the new guys are leaders in my opinion and that is what we need.

Agreed.
That and more physicality.

So far I'm most happy with keeping Fyvie and bringing in Nicky Clark.
Time will tell with the young full backs. Thistle fans seemed to rate Booth before he signed for us, now not so complimentary. He looks like he needs to put on some muscle.
I have a good feeling about Wardrop but they will need the 2 steady strong CBs mentioned by a good few.
Regularity and staggered unveiling of new players seems to be at a good pace.
This season depends so fkn much on recruitment, more than I can remember before.
How many more will we bring in?
2 CBs for sure needed.
3 or 4 for the midfield.
1 keeper.
1 or 2 wingers.
1 or 2 strikers.
That's 8 or 11 and I don't see us bringing in more than 7 or 8.
Need back up for the injuries we get in this league though.

We still need 2 no messing big brick centre backs. An exciting CAM and a pacy winger.

Just noticed the sun reported Aird is signing the morn.
Hoping this is true. Should be a big plus that he has played with and helped feed Nicky Clark already.

You think these 4 are enough?
Mikkelson, Lyng and McDonald are gone and Clark is in.
Fraser, Slater, Flood & Briels are away plus Gillespie if you count him as midfield and nae replacements are in yet.

We need a goalie
3 centre half’s if 1 leaves
2 centre mids 1 defensive 1 attacking
1 more winger if aird signs
And 2 more strikers
Offline
A big experienced keeper and centre half are a must. Sick of reading about us being bullied.

What i think we need in going forward from now..
2 keepers
2 centre halfs more if we are able to offload edge
2 wingers but I don't see us getting more than 1 unless we can offload McMullen and or King
2 centre mids
2 forwards
I think alot will depend on what we can offload that are still contracted
