Me too but if I was part of the take over I'd be telling nae cunt about the progress. Everything is picked to bits in a more negative way with leaks to forums without the ability to sell the ideas, investments and changes intended.

Bring me the leaks! I want them! Mon!!!

Re: Take over

i know it’s been said already about the multi-club thing but it seems to be the case.
Remember ST and MM’s whacky scheme about pairing us up with a club in the US that didn’t exist in a league that also didn’t exist yet, the league has been granted license now.
American investors are needed as ST and MM didn’t have the financial clout.
So now it’s full steam ahead - this would explain why an American investor would be interested - just don’t know how good it would be for the club if true.
It would certainly not remove the fears that the tea boy still casts a large shadow over tannadice
It would also not remove the fears that last time a linkup was attempted based around his favourite holiday destinations, it triggered the emphatic demise of our club
Hope it’s not true

Sorry, I'm still not clear why an American (or any other sort for that matter) investor would be interested in United - ie specifically what would they gain from this?

Can you clarify?

What league, didn't exist, Ex Houston? The 'United Soccer League' which is the second level, has been on the go for a number of years.

Maybe I'm confused by what you are saying, right enough.

As an aside, Ritchie Ryan and Paddy Barrett play for FC Cincinnati in that United Soccer League.

Sorry, the USL did existas the first and 2nd div as a Division 3 category
It only just got full sanction as a div2 league for 2018 on a year by year basis
There is no promotion or relegation to the MLS. The structure is fairly confusing tbh

This ties in with the question from scarpia as to what the benefit is tying in with us - I don’t know.
All ULS teams have some sort of franchise tie in with an MLS team which would seem to make more sense. At the least it would strongly hint that we are below the US team in the pecking order of the takeover consortium.
Biggest concern to me is that it does nothing to allay the concerns that the baldy snake still has his mitts all over his cash cow

Re: Take over

Ex Houston, sorry if it seemed I was doubting you!

But, in truth, what we maybe believed (hoped?) was going to happen, an actual 'takeover', sounds like, if anything, is going to be an absorption of our club into a speculative business which is in the process of being set up.

No worries - the American set up is an absolute mare to understand and I might be incorrect in a few things.
Again, what you are saying is the gist of my understanding but I’m not ‘in the know’ it’s just from what I can piece together and seems to make sense.
It’s the St/Mm model from a few months back before ST craftily said he was quitting. It would appear they didn’t have the finance for this particular pipe dream.
It seems they’ve got investors on board now and it’s full steam ahead. Again, this is just my take on it. But as it stands, no shares have been sold, manager that ST/MM chose remains in place despite disastrous campaign. Players released and new players being brought in. It very much feels like business as usual and we will be part of a 3 team consortium that Prince Charming can leech off o for the foreseeable future

IMO the only way this "consortium" would go ahead is if Baldymort is still involved and suspect this is what may happen - no doubt it'll be dressed up to look as though he's at arms length.
