As you say I think people are passing on what they've been told in good faith but having said that....would anyone really be surprised if ST was still the majority shareholder come the start of the new season?

​Not even a peep on social media about this being the anniversary of the cup win.

No mention of any of these guys that we were 'close to signing' at the tail end of last week.

​We have re-signed Deniz Mehmet which means that our movement in the transfer market this close season amounts to the grand total of re-signing two players who are both long term crocks who won't get a game until at least 10 games into next season.

Perhaps the person who was 'the leak' genuinely believed what he was being told and what he was passing on to others?

Or maybe the 'takeover' is still happening? Who knows.

The cynic in me however thinks that we will soon hear through the grapevine that 'Borthwick moved the goalposts at the 11th hour' or some such line.

Genuinely hope i'm wrong.

I've always been highly suspicious that any possible 'takeover' would have some type of tie in with the Yanks over the road.

The support needs clarity and soon.

EDIT to add: As of the new confirmation statement issued by the club on the 21 May 2018 to companies house,  51130 shares in Thompson name. 33462 in Martin name.  Thompson has yet to sell his shares to anyone.

Unlikely to be selling Tannadice as it currently secures a £1.2M loan from Hugh Duncan and if they're not putting money in that won't change
