24 years ago today in glorious Glasgow sunshine we finally smashed the so-called 'Hampden Hoodoo'.
Still my proudest day as an Arab I think. Rangers were a Monster at the time. Sweeping all in their path aside and having an iron grip on Scottish football's jugular.
We took the fight to them on the day however and deservedly won. Still feel proud watching the highlights back.
Best day of my life. And I've two children.

This was the type of performance in a Glasgow Cup Final I had only dreamed of previously (and since really).
All the praise goes to Ivan Golac who gave the players an absolute confidence that they could not only go toe-to-toe with Glasgow Rangers but also beat them.
Love the man.

Remember seeing the player ratings in the Sunday papers. We were all 8's and 9's. They were 4's and 5's. But watching it back afterwards, the match was far from being as clear cut as the ratings suggested. We needed Guido to save us a number of times and they were unlucky a few other times, but Hey Ho, we had more than our fair share of unlucky games at Hampden, so whose caring. Happy 24th anniversary.

We carried a fair amount of the play first half though. And if memory serves Alex Clelland got crucified from behind, one on one, in the box first half, no penalty of course.
You just have to remember that was as dominant as Rangers ever were. Been to many finals before this one but was first my dad was telling me not to get the hope's up. What a day that was. Beat 2010 for me. Just for all the pain in prior finals... and I was only 14.
