If he's represented Scotland at 4 age levels and captained the septic under-20 team to Scottish FA Youth Cup glory against the *Rangers last year he's surely on loan.

We are used to loosing good talent to them and others, if we can get something back this way that helps us I'm happy with that as long as they are decent/better than we can afford/attract and don't have any daft terms like being played regardless of form etc.

Have a feeling we might be signing a few with club captain experience or similar attitude. Quality doesn't guarentee much when the pressure is on as we have found over the last 3 years especially.

From the little I've heard about Luggy's enquiries so far that is very much the case.

All seem to be players who have Captained their sides at whatever age group.

What can you do? Both players are shite, Scobbie in particular. If we want to get promoted, we need to bring in far better than those two. We may just have to take our medicine on this one and move on.

That’s the crux of football contracts, you hand out long term deals to boys like Scobbie and Toshney etc. and you’re stuck with donkeys that you can’t get rid of for love not money. Or you hand out one-year deals, and you get boys that couldn’t care less if the club goes up or stays down, as we’ve seen with many in recent years. It truly is a double edged sword. The key is good, proper scouting, not trusting the footballing knowledge of a double glazing salesman.

I get that. Just frustrated at how much the club pay out to boys to get rid.

We need better than King and Mcmullan as wide players. Hope that gets addressed

Partick have 15 or 16 players out of contract and those left have contract clauses to protect the club going down says Alan Archibald in his post match interview.

As far as Scottish players go we might be competing for some of the same players now as both teams have similar rebuilds in same league.

Not saying we should be signing or not signing any of these players but a quick look of out of contract players and these seemed like some of the types of players who could help us progress next year. Most know the league well.
