You guys have been instrumental in providing information about the prospective takeover.
Are you able to clarify some points regarding the situation after it occurs?
1. Will Mike Martin still be chairman?
2. Is John Bennett and/or Justine Mitchell involved?
3. Is US money at the back of the takeover?
4. Is Alastair Borthwick part of the deal?
5. Will the club be part of a group of football clubs which the takeover folk will run as an ongoing project?

1. As far as I know.
2. Been told John Bennett is coming back to the board, unsure about Justine. (She's good friends with that Laura Conway)
3. Yes, US consortium have bought ST's stake in the club, they're waiting to see what league we will be in to decide share prices.
4. He has been involved most certainly, still trying to find out if he will continue to be a part of things.
5. Not as far as Ive been told.

1. Yes
2. Not heard anything at all regarding those two.
3. Yes
4. Yes
5. Yes
I've got to say, the person who has given me info is a pretty impeccable source. That said, I've only spoken recently through text so haven't really had any in depth conversations about it. It will be the case there are gaps in what I know so others may well correct what I've said or know things I don't.

Thanks, Arab87 and Trap_6. Point one has me concerned.
MM stating Csaba would be the manager no matter what next season must come as a gift to the managers, but not the fans.
If we go up with Csaba, unlikely as it seems right now, his lack of tactical nuance will see us struggle (imo), and he'd go by October/November, with his contract fully paid up. But he may get far longer time if we stay down, even an extension if he turns out to have good fortune next season. It's almost a win-win for Csaba.

Mike Martin has been kicking a lot of arses behind the scenes. Secured the biggest sponsorship deal in our history, him and Jimmy Fyffe are also bringing additional revenue streams to the club, the media and PR is being replaced and will be all in house. If you get the chance, speak to MM, has a lot to offer the club and certainly not ST's puppet.

To be fair to Mike Martin I did hear recently, from an impeccable source, that Hugh Duncan rates him.

Fake News.
I was sceptical of Martin too to begin with. But it’s clear that Thompson was the negative influence within the club, and he’s now all but gone.
Every person I’ve spoken to regarding Martin since he was appointed chairman, has nothing but positive things to say about him, and the changes he’s making within our club.
I know you’re embittered against anyone associated with Thompson, which is understandable, but don’t let your hatred of Thompson sour you against the new regime. Martin’s here to stay, and by all accounts, that’s a good thing. Give him time to make the positive changes required at our club, many of which are well under way, instead of judging him based on the mistakes of his predecessor.
This whole puppet thing is absolute nonsense though. Thompson’s a stupid, self-destructive man, and he made stupid, self-destructive decisions.

Second that, when I spoke to him about ST he said that whatever ideas or advice any other director suggested to ST was ignored greatly. ST had this "I'm in charge so I'll do as I please" attitude. Since MM has taken over, all suggestions are on the table and MM makes an effort with the fans. My mate was in hospo and MM came across to the fans, introduced himself and asked what sort of ideas they had for the club.

B&T - its a bit raw and we are all f***ed off with the club at the moment but it looks like MM is going to come packaged with the new owners/investors - are you going to give him a fair crack of the whip or is he tarnished due to his affiliation with Thompson?

He has to do something to convince me. Sack lazlo this weekend then thats a start. If he doesnt then he's sealed his own fate already imo.
Its just been proven that most utd fans dont give a shit about boardrooms. They do however give a shit about on the park, rightly so. That cunt lazlo stays we're all fucked. All fine well saying give him time to get own players in. By then its too late. HE HAS TO GO. Simple as that.
Ive alteady bought my season ticket for next season. If he stays i'll be asking for a refund.

Will the new owners be backing a shabba with some extra money?

if and when we get new owners I don't see anything they can do other than back him with cash to get us out this division

This whole “takeover” is less than convincing.
ST was looking to move into getting Utd in a ‘larger group’of clubs when he was still planning to be here.
ST is now apparently selling all his shares, despite telling close friends privately there’s no way he’d sell them all and was keeping 20%
Amazingly the club is now going to be part of a larger group of clubs but ST will have nothing to do with Utd we’re told. (Will he be involved with the larger group? Therefore still involved with the running of Utd indirectly?)
Meanwhile these new owners are quite happy to keep a man on as chairman who has been a major force in our decline and financial mismanagement.
And bearing in mind the only info seems to be coming from the gossip in the Arch and leaks from ‘a mate at the club’the same way a lot of false information has came out over the last few years.
None of it adds up right now.
Hopefully there are genuine new owners who are only interested in Utd and getting it right for us. They’ll have to start with changes in the boardroom and quickly tho.

I’d rather give him the cash to fuck off and get someone in who can take a group of players and coach them to get the best out of them and turn them into a team.
You don’t need to spend loads to win this league.

The only cash I want to see the board give that clown is his bus fare back to Edinburgh
