The Beatles Thread

Bout high fucking time the World's best ever band got a thread on here.

Revolver changed everything...EVERYTHING.Every band you are into today came about in some way due to the Fab 4 pushing the boundaries.

Tomorrow Never Knows - http://youtu.be/7xL1ffMlzKY

If The Chemical Brothers or Daft Punk produced this work today (with modern studio engineering) people would be raving about it.

They wrote it nearly 50 years ago remember. On an 8track.

Re: The Beatles Thread

Paul McCartney+John Lennon were only 22 and 23 years old respectively when they wrote this.

What talent.

Re: The Beatles Thread

Missed this previously TEK, massive Beatles fan myself.

A personal favourite track of mine is a song that isn't very well known in mainstream terms "Yes it is" which was the b side to another of my favourites but very well kent "Ticket to Ride".

The three vocal harmonies on Yes it is are incredible, my favourite Beatles vocals, also fantastic volume pedal guitar from Harrison on it too, the best of teckle.

Re: The Beatles Thread

As you may have guessed from my username I am a huge Beatles fan myself, grew up with them always on around my house and at family gatherings, got into them  big time when I was 12 or 13 and music was going into a dark place when baggy died.

Bought every studio album in one swoop and never looked back.

Revolver & Rubber Soul are my personal favourites.

I always thought Abbey Road was overrated a little but it is truely magnificent.

If the White album could have been a single LP instead of the double if may have been their best, then again the craziness maybe makes it what it is.
