It looks like we are almost there now.
Getting ahead of events, but the way the top table sits presently, it would be Ross County in the Final for the Championship side who gets there.
While I've not been over-impressed by Tam Mikkelsen up front, he's played all the minutes of our last three shut out matches, and is a bit of an asset when defending corners and free kicks.
So to the point, which you've probably already got. As he's on loan, is he unable to play, IF United get there, in a final match v Ross County?
Someone cynically suggested County would let Big Tam play for us should the occasion arise.
You make a decent point about his defensive capability Pat Reilly but it's goals that win games.
Early days tho & still tons to play for.

My understanding of loan rules is that clubs are not allowed to say players can’t play against parent clubs, so there’s never an official arrangement just a ‘gentleman’s agreement’. This certainly used to be the case, although maybe it has changed but I don’t think so.

That's my understanding too.
Hoping that perhaps County haven't put in such a request as they never forseen it happening.

Tbh request or not if I was manager and thought he’s in the best 11 then I’d play him. Winning that game (if it comes to it) is more important than having friends at Ross Co.

It would have a wider effect than just pissing off County though.
Other clubs wouldn't trust us when loaning us their players.
If they've requested he can't play then we should stick to it imo.
Anyway we're getting a wee bit ahead of ourselves here.

Aye, let's get there first.
