One wee thing.
Where was Scott McDonald tonight (not even in the bench)?
Played well on Saturday 2nd half and certainly didn't look injured. Bust-up?
Suspended mate, gone over the booking limit.

Delighted with the fight and urgency all over the pitch tonight and for King to get the winner after what happened at Cappielow.

Better performance and fight, should have scored another from Stanton.
Generally, I wouldn't rate the players as highly as above though. We rode our luck, and St Mirren played into our hands with the long balls into the box second half.
However, I'd have to say that was the worst refereeing performance of the season, if he'd been more even handed we might have done better than we did (churlish as that is, given we won the points).

We weren't on Saturday.
He drove the team on. Not his fault we couldn't defend set-pieces worth a fuck on the day.

There is no need for laszlo to make any changes for Saturday.
Nobody deserves to be dropped.
A key factor tonight was we were not bullied out of the game by what was a long ball team.
ST Mirren the worst 1st division Champions since 1998

Interesting thing is they're not a long ball side. They must have played that way tonight to try and exploit our supposed weakness at defending balls into the box etc.
Great that this tactic paid no dividends. Mehmet keeping a clean sheet is also buoying.

They may well be the worst but they will be champions.

Imo no - Smirren resorted to the long ball because we defended deep, gave them no space and frankly got stuck in and left the odd foot in.
This'll sound strange but I think Csaba got his tactics right and Smirren didnae cope with them - we forced them to play it long and it was easy for Durnan and Moshni to dominate them.

Got to be one of the best performances this Season. Seemed to be a bit of spirit from the squad, tho Midden had the better 2nd half. The last 10-20 minus we were under the cosh. Midden are'na that good. ( they only manged 1 goal against Brechin FFS). They had a couple of no bad breaks but Ralston, Durnan and Mohsni put a stop to most of them. Deniz the menace had phuck-all to dae TBH.
An old sore tho that we dinna have anybody out when opposition getting corners. Tonight we coulda had 3 or 4 breaks if we'd had a man (just 1 man) near the centre. This inevitavely means the oppostion nearly always get 2 chances of putting balls into the box.
Kings scoring the winner in 3 mins, after Crapielow was welcome. McMullan put the low cross in, and nane oe the Midden centres could clear it, ball comes to King who hits it we his left into the bottom right. Been thinking for a whilee that King is no bad on the ball, good control, but when he's got possession around the box, he doesna mak an attempt, and tries to play thru and pass to some chunt else to have a go. Confidence mibbee? Who knows, but it goes to show, he is capable.
2nd half, Stanton had a great chance when the ball came in from the right, naebody near him, he belts it, but Samson pushed it right for a corner.
Big Mick put a lot oe effort in, but he put a lot oe headers forward when there was nae chunt ahead oe him. Put in a brah shot on target that was saved. He looked pretty knackered by 75 mins.
Ralston had a couple of roller-coaster clearances but in the main was excellent.
Mohsni - a no nonsence defender - any doubt and then out it goes, must have cleared aboot 25 crosses.
Dallas should emigrate to Texas, and tak the GF Lino we him. No getting their free Hospo at Midden Park now.
Great to see a big turnout from the Midden supporters to see them not win the title. Kerching. Gled they didna get their party started at Tannadice. Chick the Pr1ck Hun Young GIRFUY.

Certainly put in a power of work and while not the greatest at the day job I noticed he had a good number of clearing headers and tackles etc in the box.

Nah mate, I'd have him in the team. Mikk's defensive work often better than his attacking work but hey ho...
2/3 minutes for young Declan Glass, a bold decision by Snaba' to give him a debut cameo at the time.
Mohsni's the business, reminds me of Webby a bit. And Fojut.

Much better last night. So where the fek has that desire, commitment and effort been all season ?
Better set up and team it has to be said from Shabba , still no happy about some of the organisation defensively but the lads Murdoch, Ralston Durnan and especially the Mosh deserve great credit.
Flood, Big Tam , McMullan and Stanton really did well. Mention to for Gillespie, good to see him playing and was surprised how much he contributed. King took his goal well. Deniz didn’t have much to do but did what he had to very well. Good to see him winding up the St Murn bleating faced , overexcited fannies on occasion. I would keep him in for Saturday.
Special mention too for the highly professional and respected Prik Hun the pretendy St Mirren fan. GIRFUY Chick the Prick.

PS what a bastard that card happy incompetent fool of a ref was. Constantly gagging to give them every slightest thing, playing to their bleating pussed fans.
I also see there has been a rule change and it is now permitted to constantly take long throw ins actually on the field of play now.

Two good points (at least) in there, TangerineDream. Hippolyte didn't have to come onto the pitch for his throws, they were long anyway.......... but I imagine it gave him more momentum in his build up to do so.
And the moaning and claiming fouls/penalties from the Paisley mob? Are we as bad? Within a second or two of making loud, baseless claims, their support had calmed down again and forgot about the incident. To me, that's always an indication there was nothing to claim for in the first place.
A final one: St Mirren players trying to get ours booked/sent off, remonstrating with the referee after a decision had gone for them. That must be management influenced: Jack Ross argued with his arms flailing at Dallas all the way off the pitch at the end last night.

Don't think there was any failures in the team last night, keeper did his job and his defenders coped reasonably well, midfield fought and harried for the full game and big Mick put in a shift up front.
Best of the bunch were Flood and Mohsni.
