Fair enough, I can understand others cynicism, however I have been told this is happening as well as other plans in place for the club by 1 of our directors. Believe me this director wouldn't take the supporters for a ride as he is one of us,

Boy on utd mad seems to think he knows borthwick has nothing to do with it.

Oh and no director "is one of us"

As Arab87 says, this definitely isn’t another bluff by Mr. A and Martin to sell season tickets, but these things don’t happen overnight. Should hopefully be done by the early summer though.

This Director is, believe me, he has been to home and away games, European games, cup finals and semis sitting with the supporters before he was offered the role of director.

Bearing in mind the one he’s on about has only been in the post for a matter of months, and is already well down the road of creating arevenue stream that should bring in an extra 6-figures per year for the club.

He’s hardly complicit in the shenanigans of recent times.

Re: New Owners ? - American Consortium

Sorry about dragging my doubts up earlier there, but it's a question of trust, and that has to be gained. The timing of the announcements leave me with suspicion, and if we are honest, any potential positivism is grasped with over-enthusiasm by the support.

Witness the Csaba Phenomenon, and the praise he was getting following the defeat at Paisley earlier in the season.

I hope a major change is on the cards, but cannot understand why members of the board would let slip what presently are 'official secrets', thus jeopardising the revolution. Presently, the only conclusion I can draw is that we are being conned.

Re: New Owners ? - American Consortium

I hope major change is on the cards but wont be getting excited til it actually happens and I see that it is good - far too many false dawns for me and too many of these materialise around sale of season ticket time. Likewise wont be getting excited yet about beating the 2nd bottom team who are already consigned to the  relegation play-offs. if this is a start, good and well but there's still a long way to go. On the plus side, Moshni looks like being our new Wato

Re: New Owners ? - American Consortium

Hard for me being out the country to keep up with this. I can't find a single news story, would this not be the sort of thing I'd see in the tele or courier? I'm confused by the rumor altogether

Re: New Owners ? - American Consortium

Aye, it has been in the press. Some links to be found here: https://www.pressreader.com/similar/282355450299356

I don't like sounding or being negative, there's no more reason to accept my doubts than there are to think this won't be happening. As I've said, a change of regime would be welcomed by me (and everyone who supports United), but we've been let down too many times to get excited.

There's no even been a cheep fae the Club. Of course, even if it's true, it could be that if it all goes belly-up behind closed doors, then it's perfect for plausible denial

All is ready to go, waiting on due diligence, unfortunately out of our control with that.
