Sack Him Now....

Trust Thompson to pick the one manager capable of doing even worse than McKinnon. I can’t listen to his 5 minute rambles at simple questions, and clearly neither can any of those shitebags in the dressing room.

As with the other diddies we’ve appointed in the last 3 years, this is going absolutely fucking nowhere, the players aren’t playing for him, his team selections are bizarre, and his signings have somehow made us even worse. Imagine signing and persisting with a striker 10 times worse than Bodul, Shala, Taggart, Mathie, Smart and Anier.

Stick Ellis in charge in the meantime, then go and beg Peter Houston to come back and restore a bit of pride in the club, as we should’ve done in October. Then we’ll maybe sustain a title challenge past Boxing Day within the next couple of years.

Punting Laszlo now probably a waste of money right now - as well to wait until end of season (at least he's unlikely to put us through much, or possibly any play off misery)

As to Houston - God no - just about managed to relegate Falkirk this season and with our board 'backing' him...

Re: Sack Him Now....

Get Csaba out before Tuesday.

Quick reminder that we were fucking TOP OF THE LEAGUE back in October after his first game in charge.

He has completely made a cunt of things with his tactics, formations, starting XI's, subs and most of all signings.

We will be lucky to finish 4th with him in charge.

The players don't seem to know what they are doing under him.

Give it to Houston and let us have a last ditch at salvaging this shitshow of a season.

Re: Sack Him Now....

I'm not convinced Ellis is the answer unless we can get verification that he begged Utd not to sign Mikkelson on loan, told them not to sign Gillespie and went down on his knees begging for a proper right back.
Mikkelson must be the weakest, softest, fally down centre forward ever. He makes Brian Graham look like Mixu!
Ellis knows these 2 players better than Csaba - he should've ensured these players never got signed

Re: Sack Him Now....

I'm not thinking of top 4 anymore I'm starting to think if he could get us to finish in 8th and I'm starting to doubt that.

get him to fuck, even if it's just for thon lump of timber that was masquerading at right mid as a footballer.im 41 and could have done better than him. shite bag

Scary how bad he was.

Chucked it as well.

Went over on his ankle and couldn't wait to get off the pitch.

Re: Sack Him Now....

he was hiding, fucking hiding over on the right. any manager worth their salt would have booked him(miles oot his depth).

Livingston should exactly how you get out of this league, very streetwise and played to their strengths.

Re: Sack Him Now....

I was all for getting ray to fk and was excited at the prospect of csaba. However, we cant keep paying off managers. Its glaringly obvious csabba has been sold the job with a DOF (double glazing saleseman) doing the scouting etc. Realistically, what could csabba do in the short time hes had?.. hes still experimenting cos our players are fkn gash. Really bad footballers. Hes taken the job of polishing the turds taylor throws at him. In 6 months! We're in a fkn rut that we cant get out of. Id give czaba a go. Cos no cunt is gonna get us out. Assuming thompson and martin will be running the club via skype from the bahamas.

That is a fair point you make about Taylor.

I am not for one minute buying that Csaba moved to sign guys like Slater, Gillespie and Mikkelsen.

Though unfortunately him 'okaying' these moves makes him a 'Yes man'. Which is also part of the problem.

Thats what I dont get to be fair to the manager.  As you say, just dont buy those are his signings.  Surely hes not come in, looked at what we've done last year and decided lets have more of that ffs.

Re: Sack Him Now....

Yep. I know. But the time hes getting... im not sure he has time to go in scouting missions and has prob left it to rays mate. We're all agreed that our season is over and were not going up. Any point in getting shot of csabba?
Personally after hearing all the rumours going around that its curtains for us... im struggling now. Fk knows mate.

Agreed, this defeat could be a blessing as Livvy have shown United the way to win a game - get the ball forward regularly, play in the target man, have forwards keen to shoot on sight, test defenders and the keeper, no messing about at the back and not one single square go-nowhere pass in sight in 92 minutes. All United have to do is ditch the way they currently play and copy Livvy's. Easy

Re: Sack Him Now....

they asked us questions last night from every possible situation.

Free kicks, throw ins and corners-all tested our defenders by them putting it straight in the mixer.

Short corners. thick as shit

Re: Sack Him Now....

If Csaba is lead by Darren Taylor then he should be fired now.
I could understand him being a yes man to Romanov as he was bank rolling the team and providing good players.
If he is happy to be a yes man to a junior footballer then he shouldn’t be managing a club like United.

For what it’s worth, I don’t believe this is the case, Taylor is a glorified scout who we can’t afford to pay off and Csaba can easily tell him to bolt. This is a fact.
Like the shocking formations, the shocking signings are his as well.
This is a man that when he did get to decide on a signing at hearts chose David Obua

Re: Sack Him Now....

Absolutely.

To be so far off the pace in the worst Championship since the Funsters were in it, is unforgivable.

I wanted him gone as much as everyone else, but I’ll say it now, not even Raymond would have had us in such a state as Csaba’s got us into. Nor Mixu, nor Jackie, nor anyone.

It was a strange appointment at the time, to go for some random Hungarian who managed in this country briefly a decade ago, and it’s proven to be a monumentally stupid decision that’s gonna set us back years.

He’s nothing more than the last throw of the dice by a desperate, clueless halfwit of a chairman.

Re: Sack Him Now....

If Mike Martin truly wants to let his actions do the talking, then Csaba Laszlo won’t be the Dundee United manager by dinner time tomorrow. He simply can’t be allowed to damage the club any further.

Also, come the end of the season, every first team player, bar Fyvie, Fraser and a few of the youngsters, should be told that they’ve disgraced this club one time too many, and that all are free, no, encouraged to leave as soon as possible.

.

Correct.

We can all argue about what player should start over which one or what formation we should play etc etc till the Cows come home.

Bottom line is the players are not playing for Csaba and things have gotten progressively worse under him. Which is hard to believe given just how bad we were under McKinnon. But they have.

Re: Sack Him Now....

He's got to go but I'm not convinced anyone could get any sort of drastic improvement out of that shower. We were playing 4-4-2 tonight which people were asking for, we were a little bit more direct, trying to get balls down the flanks which people were asking for and nothing came of it whatsoever because Mikkelsen is dreadful and wins nothing in the air whilst King and McMullen are horrendous and total shitebags. Murdoch, just plays whatever way he is facing whilst Edge and Durnan were totally exposed by Dykes with his pace and strength. In other words, we are totally shite. We started well and got done the first two times they attacked.

Re: Sack Him Now....

We went to the very bottom of the worst barrel we could find when we got Jackie - its almost impossible to believe since then we've downgraded our management expertise a further 3 times. You couldn't make this up. Oh for the days when we were at the dizzy heights of just being rock bottom.

This is a great post. Sums up where everyone should be at about this.  That squad of players are not worthy of getting promoted. We've no right to expecting a win against queen of the south or any team in this fucking league.  Managers a pudding. Teams worse man.  We might have some individual pieces which are better than what clubs like Livi, QOS or fucking ICT have. But they're better teams.  Change the manager tomorrow and we go fucking nowhere.  Seasons done has been for weeks. We're fucking shite.

Re: Sack Him Now....

I'll add. Get to fuck with your Durnan has improved talk. He's improved because yes playing in the championship, where he fucking belongs. Never seen a cenelter half turn slower than him.

Re: Sack Him Now....

Just listened to his 10 minute ramble on the Zone. No idea how he gets any sort of message over to the players - no wonder they seem rudderless. Also he confirmed that he is going to continue playing the brand of football that doesn't work and which has taken us miles away from the SPL top 6. He is currently the biggest problem we have and keeping him on will cost our chairman and his pal more than paying him off as attendances and sales of season tickets decline.
