Been watching quite a bit of old classic Scottish matches recently and it brought back just how good a number of our homegrown players were.
Remember Dougie Arnott? What a tremendous little striker he was. Good pace, good finisher (with both feet) and could head the ball too.
Would have had numerous Scotland caps if he played for either Rangers or Celtic.

Fantastic wee striker for Motherwell think he only started playing full time fitba aged around 26 came from junior fitba

Not a Scottish player but I always rated Richard cadete at falkirk as well great wee striker early 90s I think he played with them

I mind of him big man. Very good forward.
Pretty sure he scored a hat-trick at Tannadice versus us in the 3-3 League Cup game.

A few players, at clubs which I don't really have any time for............
Ricardo Fuller (Hearts), Barry Ferguson (Rangers), and further back Gordon Strachan and Arthur Graham (Aberdeen).

Tremendous little player. Great dribbler. Back when wingers used to take men on.
