Durnan ain't the worst and not by a long way.

Think of Darren Dodds- route one, and a player who new his limitations. Durnan is the very same but do you know what, we have been playing square balls along our back line for the past two seasons giving every team a chance.

Overplaying it and acting like we are Dundee United when in truth we don't have the players to be Dundee United. Until we get out of this league we need to battle like Livingston the other week, they would have booted their Grannie if she got in the way.

Moshni is total loose cannon and after Gunning and Wato I've had my lot with clowns like him.

They are not acting like they were Dundee United. Don’t know who they think they are copying Barcelona, Spain maybe but United before Jackie never played this rubbish before and the sooner they bin it the sooner the will get back upstairs.

Few Tunisia media outlets saying he’s signed until end of next season

Hope not: that would be foolish in the extreme, to give a player such a long contract when he's only managed 90 minutes of first team football over the past two seasons.

In any case, if Dundee United can afford to pay such a contract, the club must be awash with money. They won't need mine next season.

I think he might not be as bad as many fear also.

He's big, strong, has a good engine and you can stick him upfront late on if you need a goal.

Huge question marks over his temperament, of course. But we are in a bit of a desperate situation and have a huge back-log of games coming up.

It's a gamble but one that may be worth it.

p.s. hope his contract is only till June, however.

Starting point of opinion is bad from a United fan point of view as he's tarnished with a zombie history and fucked up ending that I for one enjoyed. 7 game ban I think too. Not sure how good he was as I didn't watch much of him. Assume he's no pure pish as he's been on big wages before but only I think at Sevco & mabe Southend United. Previous teams are not impressive.

Only positive is he seems to have a temper and fight which we lack so badly but the timing and application of that I'm unsure how well to see it. Might be a good damaged
goods player we couldn't normally afford but might be a Wato the fuck type Gunning signing.

He's as good as what we have, at least.  Not mad at this at all. Other than he's sit for 7 games...

Trust Luggy's opinion more than whoever the fuck has recruited recently.

Re: Luggy’s First Recommendation....

Guys a nut job and looks like he needs someplace to serve out the 7 game ban and then stand a chance of a better payday/contract elsewhere afterwards

Another spectator is not what we need in coming months , nor a has been ( if he ever was) , nor another overpaid mercenary without a care for the club or consequence.

This idea needs binned.

Agree with all that Tn'B but really depends on the wages offered as the cunt is probably desperate for a kick start to his career after it died at the zombies. Not keen on this player but don't know what all the facts are.

Re: Luggy’s First Recommendation....

As long as it's just till the end of the season then I really don't see the problem tbh.

He won't play till April. He will have to show up well in training in the interim to get a jersey when his bans up.

If he does well, all well and good. If his attitude and/or fitness is shit then he doesn't get a look in and we have only paid his (probably low) wages for 3 months.

Give the boy a chance.

Re: Luggy’s First Recommendation....

Sturrock gave him too many chances at Southend and eventually gave up on him.

So did Newco who were glad to see the back of him, 3 suspensions totalling 12 weeks when they had him.

Played 1 game in 18 months I read....what use is he going to be to us ?

We’ve nae money but about to pay wages for a player who can’t play for 7 games and likely will get himself sent off for stupidity and banned again at 1st opportunity.....don’t see what good this is going to bring us........especially as Csaba will put him to right back probably

Luggy's recommended him mate. He has spoken quite highly of Moshni previously (Utd Mad Q+A iirc) and said he felt he was one of the best players he signed in terms of potential.

All I am saying is if the boy signs, let's give him a chance.

Hun bastards are laughing it up at his link with us. Wouldn't it be lovely if it turned out the boy enjoyed it here and done us a turn?

Re: Luggy’s First Recommendation....

Aye Tek, the Huns have got plenty to say for themselves but most of the m share same opinion on his abilities, or lack of, general consensus is he was shit, “worst player ever”, a nightmare, total bombscare ever etc., they’re not missing him on line ........we all saw how bad he was in a very poor Sevco team, oh how we laughed.......not really funny now if he’s coming our way.

Maybe the thought of Wato and Mad Gav making it harder to have an open mind........oh and the ex zombie bit as well.

Wasn't sure about Moshni but, if Wato and Mad Gav are the comparisons then he may well be a good signing. We were unbeaten in all of the games Wato played (even against the teams that used to pump us regularly - Falkirk, Morton) and Gunnings 1st spell with us was so good that both ugly sisters were reputed to want to pay £1M to get him. I'll have more of that. I'm far more worried about our numptie manager and his selections and tactics

There’s plenty reading about this guy online, this is one of many ......Luggy’s either forgotten or forgiven the problems he gave him?

Maybe he’s had some counselling since then. Seems a very strange recommendation from Luggie and one which inspires any degree of confidence.

Re: Luggy’s First Recommendation....

I like the stories about Mosni trying to fight opposition players in the car park we need a bit more of that attitude at Tannadice. Mostof the games in div1 turn into  battles.  If it all kicked off This current UTD  team would get their arses kicked by every other team in the league. All succesful teams in the lower leagues have at least 1 nutcase.

I’m no sure how good Moshni Is but he’s better than Paul Quinn and Edge anyway.

Re: Luggy’s First Recommendation....

Csaba has told Luggy the type of players he is after. Nasty bastards with fight is an obvious addition I'm sure Csaba has requested.

Moshni is on trial for a look. Nae harm in that other than pissing of some Arabs and damaging Luggy's 1st impression in his new role.

Don't think Luggy or Csaba will be too concerned about other folks opinion whilst they try to fix the problems we have.

Eager to see who is the next player looked at.

Desperate for change in so many ways.

Moshni on trial turned my stomach.

Having fight is something we lack but his type of fight is proven to be Kebab Shop style at 4am. If he gets a contract it needs a mayhem clause to get him tae fuck if required.

Re: Luggy’s First Recommendation....

If Mohsni is signed until the end of this season, I won't have such a tantrum, but remembering Csaba sending a winger away (Chris Malonga) after a trial around a month ago, with comments about him not playing for around eight months, and us requiring players who could play now rather than in 2-3 weeks, it seems strange to forget these principles now.

“We need fit players, we don’t have the time for two or three weeks when we can do something with the players so we decide no.”

Re: Luggy’s First Recommendation....

What happened to the 7 game ban?  Wouldn't be surprised if we play him even though he is banned and end up with points deducted!
