Livi have a good manager who plays to their strengths, mostly the long ball game. 

The recent evidence suggests we haven't a good manager, so it looks like we are playing to get into the 3rd/4th place play off again. In fact, I'll predict right now we are going to go through the same scenario as last season, an away game in the first of a sequence of six games. But we won't actually play in six.

We can't go into next season with the same uncertainty about the manager, who then gets the sack in October or thereabouts. But then again, the fuck ups by the board, and the total lack of confidence from the fans in Thompson and Martin, are root causes of the problem.

I'm looking at the Morton/Livingston report there, the boy who scored the 'wonder strike' as reported at Tannadice for Morton was a subbie  and didn't get on, the left back who waltzed through our statuesque midfield and defence was totally absent, and the crowd was less than one and a half thousand.

We're not catching Livi, they have a consistent line up,they  don't care about the opposition passing it around as long as they are nowhere near their box (ie, us), and have an average gate of  less than one and a half thousand this season. Last season they averaged 797, but clearly recruited far, far better than us in the close season.

It underlines how much we've mis-spent and made errors in employment.

​When Ray was punted Hopkins was one of the names touted for us. Looks like he would have been a better choice. Willing to wager his team will give a good account of themselves in the play offs.

If we win our 3 games in hand we will go up to 3rd.

No chance it will happen.

My expectation is currently as low as it's ever been. Wish the club would ban interviews as you see the same as we feel in the players eyes and general reaction to questions, gutted, no confidence,  ken how the support feel and have no way to verbally fix. Just stop the interviews.

Chance is still there to get up but will take a rally not seen for many years and a resultant unity between team & support if it even kicks off in that direction at all.

I hope to fuck we can rally towards promotion with a flukey run full of luck, timing, injury free and returnees with a good support to help without over affecting the support of the team. A collapse like ours is required by the teams above and around whilst helping eachother fail to our benefit.

There must be ways to help from a support point of view.

I want ST and MM away as much as any but worry a lot we contribute to the negative.

Hard to say but I still think we have a chance of promotion. It might need backed though.

Should probably add, I totally get the current mindset but hope we can use our advantage in numerical support if the opportunity presents.

Need to separate our hate and support if we can for what's best.

​Don't think we'll get up just with luck, returnees and injury free - we need to abandon the way we played for the last 3+ years and start doing the 2 things that actually matter - attacking and defending. If we do the attacking the team wont have to worry about lack of support, its the main thing that gets fans going. Bin the sideways and backwards stuff, it just doesn't work
