100% this.
And I include myself in this, and I presume kd and many others do an'all.

When it comes down to saving our club I'm sure most would rally. I worry we piss about too much. I was going to enrole the bairns initially in the DUSF but was put off by good mates for what now seems like daft reasons.
I spend more than I can afford on United related stuff and have no real clue where most of my money goes.
I crave a more fan United feeling and togetherness to take on the future. Folk say the fans are the club so if we fight against each other we might undo what might be the best chance of saving or suceeding.
Time to Unite and build up a financial safety net ahead of a doomsday scenario or even to help take on the owners.

Exactly. I will not be parting with my money until they do come together. It's a shame really.

Realistically out the groups who do you really see merging?
Federation.
Fans United
DUSF
Dundee utd business club
Utd ladies of tannadice (who are now not a female only group, Will the name change?)
Arabtrust
Fair point Bowers. Could only see the Ladies of Tannadice going under the help of the Fed if they are really a supporters club and the DUSF merge/take over the increasingly un trusted Arabtrust.
All serve their own purpose best in different ways.
What we need is branches of these fan groups to be proactive, helpful & organised aids to the support that work well and folk in charge of them to argue towards solutions out of the public view and bring the support together.
I've no bias other than what's best for United.
I've benefited through the Fed when it was important personally, appreciated the trust's efforts and the DUBC seem selfless and supportive without being publicly disruptive but we need to Unite better now and stop the fkn circus and find a way to combine to be better.
Only my opinion but feel the DUSF are tactful and more likely to achieve something through the stance of a fan vote.
Other groups seem to be voicing the opinion of their members through a voted main man who ends up causing mayhem over unity.
Oor team is bigger than fan figureheads and the progression is buggered up by this pish and mainly gives rivals a fkn laugh over a progression for us.
Hard to achieve but chippin away at eachother is fkn futile.
Need to find a way to Unite. The thing is.
The utd ladies of tannadice was set up initially as a supporters club who jooned the federation. I think for one season.
Before becoming a fan group
Are they a fan group?
Are they just a supporters club with 50 or so members?
If they are just a supporters club with 50 or so members why does it matter what they say? And why would they need to change their name?
Arabtrust are fair game but I’m not getting the hostility to a group, who as far as I can see run a few events a couple times a year for the benefit of local charities.

No sure there is any hostility towards them Haunted. What they say isn't widely known and naeb'dy is demanding they change their name.
Sure they are a welcome addition to the United cause but appreciate yer backing them up when you obviously feel it's required.
She'd Rule bud.😉

a supporters group and supporters club are different. Do you see the A90,FKTS, ARCTIC, SAS,EAA to name a few etc have the meetings with club officials that either the Fed(who represent the supporter clubs) fans utd arabtrust dusf dubc?
the ULT was set up as a supporters club who at the time become a member of the Federation along with the 28 or so other clubs at the time.
After some time it was decided they would become a Fan group, Did they want to do this instead of being a supporters club? I have my doubts. I think this was influenced by certain people.
On the name change. its not now a female only group they now allow men and women over the age of 16 years. so unfair to call it United Ladies Of Tannadice.

FED, Fans United and DUSF appear to be singing from the same hymn sheet which a massive step. If I were a betting man, I would someone within the arabtrust tipped ST about this. If this is the case, they should remove themselves from any supporter's groups immediately.
Step in the right direction, would the DUSF be able to buy the Arabtrust's shares in the club (3% I believe) to give the DUSF, FU and the FED a stronger voice in the boardroom?
Arabtrust have fell asleep at the wheel, allowing ST and MM to tear our club apart and they must be held accountable for this. Was ArabTrust a mere lanyards for silence deal?

They posted this on social media and on the back of it seem to have had a good few people pledge.
Survey Response
Following a survey of our members the Dundee United Supporters’ Foundation has voted overwhelmingly (more than 80%) not to support the current board of Dundee United Football Club by means of any monetary donation or loans. There is real concern amongst the DUSF members that any money donated to the club will disappear into the big black financial hole that currently exists. Therefore monies raised and held by the Foundation will not be allocated to the current Board and may be used when the crisis, which appears inevitable, hits the football club.
Today’s news regarding the potential sale of the club’s GA Arena academy facility, only adds to the financial uncertainty at the club. The sale of an asset, that’s development was partly funded by supporters’ donations, raises a number of questions we will look to formulate with the other fans' groups in the coming days

To me looks like the only option in the absence of any credible alternative to current shambles

"The sale of an asset, that’s development was partly funded by supporters’ donations"
This is very relevant point and possibly a huge PR/fan/future own goal for ST and those running the club.
Not surprised at all by the 80% plus opinion.

Its all fine and well saying 80% voted NOT to give a penny to the current regime.
How many out of say 270(estimated figure) members voted?

They now have nearly 400 members after this weekend.

Joined today also, the statement that the bald cunt is not getting a brass razzo was enough to convince me.
It's our only hope for now as there is nobody else coming forward. Get ourselves organised and a couple of quid behind us and we might be able to attract someone to buy this cunt out.

I joined it today as well. However, still stand by what I said before though, buying a Season Ticket, strips and Arabzone should be all an average fan should be expected to spend. Needs must just now though given the club is on it's arse and the likelihood is I won't be buying a ST next season.

Agree, that's all an a fan should be expected to spend, particularly when not really getting a say on how the clubs run. We're just at that moment when we need to do more to survive. Support for the foundation really needs to treble tho for it to be fully worthwhile, I'm not sure our support are fully ready to commit to that in those numbers yet.

If each member can persuade one or two other fans to join then it will quickly escalate numbers.
