It's embarrassing thinking about the national team these days. Walter Smith, part of the failure of the last twenty years, or Malky McKay, couldnae get a job anywhere due to his lack of diplomacy/ignorance. Eventually it looks like his dad nipped along the corridor and sorted employment at the SFA for his boy.
And the likes of John Hughes and Gary Caldwell putting their names forward...... ffs.
What happened to the long list, which was topped by number one target Michael O'Neill. After he turned it down, why was number two on the list not offered the post?

Wouldna be surprised if Waldo got offered the joab. Only thing is IIRC, he walked away fae the Scotland joab before we McCoist when the Huns came calling jingling chocolate pennies.
