Would have definitely taken Paton back just a couple of days ago.

But as we currently have no fewer than SIX players who can play DCM a 7th really would be just taking the piss.

Pity cos i would have played him before Flood,Gillespie,Slater,Murdoch,Briels or Allardice.

We need a player who can actually run with the ball, take opposition players on, beat a man and give the strikers some service.

That and at least one winger who can do similiar and actually put a cross into the box.

We'll sign no-one else i'd imagine.

One player i would take who is currently without a club is Eoghan Stokes. Irish Striker/attacking midfielder.

Was highly rated growing up and played at various levels for Eire.

Just been released from Leeds Utd. Would be worth a trial at any rate.

We get £82,500 from Sky for the Aberdeen match. I’d be taking that & putting together a 3 month deal for Stokes from it.

As I said earlier in the thread, I don't think a club is paid £82,500 from this season for a Sky cup tie. From the start of this season, a big whack was removed from the payment, and I'm certain it's a good bit less than half that amount a club now gets.
