                        Slater

               Lyng     McDonald

Keep it tight in the middle, get the full backs high up the pitch for width, Allardice to sit in front of the back 4 and drop into back 3 if wing backs are caught up the field. Lyng and McDobald up top to test the big man/we man combo. Lyng to hold up the play and knock down/on for McDonald.
As the game goes on and there back line starts

to tire then the likes of King, Smith, McMullan etc for pace.

I’d go with this line up

No utd team should include Allardice Im afraid he is pish

I haven't been too impressed by him but he's still young so not writing him off yet.

Being pish doesn't seem to disqualify others who get to wear the jersey (and there were 11 of them in the Falkirk game). He's a centre back who's largely been played in midfield to date. I'd like to see him have a few games either as a centre back or as a sitter in front of the defence to see what he can do. Only an opinion

Re: Alloa v Utd - Sat 20/1/18 (3pm)

Really heavy snow coming in the West and Central Scotland from 3pm onwards.

I don't think our game will be on tomorrow.

The Alloa owner boy says the game will be on. And there are cash gates now too.

PS,

I'm not far from Alloa, the weather isn't too bad and although there is snow about, it's not that deep.

Re: Alloa v Utd - Sat 20/1/18 (3pm)

Alloa has had loads of snow today. Kids sent home from school and roads were hopeless earlier on. A bit better but snow back on now. If Mulroney got the pitch cleared earlier he’s gonna have to the same again. Good new re pay gate cos I haven’t got a ticket yet

As at 11.15pm Alloa is a white out and starting to freeze over. However son-in-law has just passed the Recs (Indodrill) and seen the tractors finishing clearing the pitch, so with no more snow forecast, fully expect game to be on. Hope whatever side is picked tomorrow is up for it, cos after all this effort, the Wasps certainly will be. There will be a pay gate for away fans.

Boozers - the nearest one is the Thistle (my young lad works there) run by a couple of Partick supporters. Nearby is Bobbin John which is a JD Weatherspoons.

Glad to see St Mirren taking a confidence sapping hiding.
Would it be too much to ask for a couple of season ending injuries now 😵🤔

It wasn't great. I didn't think the pitch, at any point in time, was playable.
