I see they have a meeting set up with 2 Utd Directors in the coming days (namely Mike Martin and Jim Fyffe) and are inviting questions from supporters as to what questions they should pose.
Thought i would post it here also as not everyone is on Facebook and the more questions the better. Then their committee can 'cherry pick' the most suitable one's as they see fit.

Do the board genuinely think that so many 'one year contract' players are going to have the heart to genuinely try their best to get the club out of the Championship or should they have been looking to buy players on longer contracts, who could do a job in the premiership if we get promoted?
Do these players have a promotion clause written into their contracts and is it a worthwhile clause?
With the number of stay away fans looking like they are growing in numbers, what are the club going to do to make a trip to Tannadice more appealing to the supporters from a financial point of view and an experience point of view?
It genuinely looks like this season is a VERY big season for the club, so what exactly is going to happen to Dundee United if we don't get promoted this season and, should we fail to be promoted will the board take responsibility for their part in us being in this predicament and what do they propose to do to make things right?

What steps is the club taking to firstly investigate and secondly arrest the ongoing decline in results and performances at under 20 level?
Are there any youth players at the club currently operating on contracts below the National Minimum Wage/Living Wage?
Are the club subject to financial penalties if Harry Lewis and Brandon Mason do not start matches from their respective parent clubs? Apparently this is common practice amongst English Premiership clubs loaning players to the lower levels in England.

Mibbee he does, but I'd still like the Club to answer the question.

I thought that was the whole point of Teks thread.
I didnt know Thompson had a house in Florida, but even if he does, it doesna answer the question. I heard directly from one of the Club sponsors that we are involved in some business of a sort in the States. I'm not asking to be told any of the details of it. It's a simple yes or no question.

Calm down, calm down. Was only saying the cunt had a hoose there thats why he spends a lot of time there.

My question would be simple.
Why does the BoD consistently give new Managerial appointments longer contracts than they have to?
Csaba has another year after this season ends. If he ends up yet another disaster and we fuck up winning the title/getting promoted once again then we are once again stuck in the position of either
1)Sticking with the Manager (and yet again rewarding failure)
or
2)Having to find money to pay him and his staff off
And if Mike Martin says we wouldn't have gotten Csaba unless we offered longer than a few months I would counter that with why wasn't another Managerial candidate just sought out till the season's end and then see 'where the land lies'?Given the horrendous financial position we find ourselves in.
Plenty of out of work/hungry Manager's out there with a point to prove would have taken the job just till the season's end (John Hughes, Danny Lennon, Billy Dodds, possibly even Peter Houston).

If true (and i am dubious) then absolutely YES it's necessary.
Whether Csaba has been good business...well not if he doesn't get us up and we have to invoke said clause he won't have been.
Does the club expect to break even (excluding exceptional income such as transfer fees) this fy.
If not, why not?

Tell Martin to tell Thompson to hurry up and sell the club and get to fuck before he kills us.

Interesting tho, because the fact that he has a hoose our there adds some weight to what I was asking aboot and it makes it more plausible.
Mibbee just adding 2 and 2 and getting fehv. eg.
IF (Thomson has Hoose_In_Florida) = YES
THEN
Football_Business_In_USA := Probably YES
END IF

The committee of Fans United met with two main Board members of Dundee United on the evening of Monday 15th January. Mike Martin was accompanied by newly appointed Director, Jim Fyffe and what ensued could only be described as a very progressive first step, very much in the right direction. We were asked what our main concerns were and we explained in detail that they continued be various major financial issues which we had initially tabled at our previous meeting with the club on 2nd June 2017. We have never felt comfortable that these very real concerns were ever completely dealt with (when our questions were posed) and we feel that with the passage of time, and no sign of significant improvement, realistically our concerns have only heightened. The greatest immediate concern remains, fundamentally, that we continue to operate in a weekly, cumulative operating loss situation and how we meet a huge obligation in February to repay a second tranche being circa 500K of a substantial loan made into the Club. We were given assurance that there would be no “press” to have this loan dealt with (by the party who has granted said loan) and that he was very sympathetic to the Club’s current dilemma.
We must accept this, at this time, at face value, based on the assurance given. As to the continuing weekly operating losses, we have similarly been given the assurance also that the club is sufficiently funded to go to the end of the season. In addition, we were also advised that 2/3 more players will be added (within this window) to bolster the attempt to push for promotion in the second half of this season. These additions will be on loan agreements.
Jim Fyffe explained that his main role was to “bring in more money to the Club” We asked a number of questions over a wide spectrum of issues ranging from quality of all food, drink and merchandise services through to season ticket pricing ticket structure.
Suffice to say also that we were assured that no stone is being left unturned to explore improved ways of doing things and they are open to suggestions ongoing. We also addressed “the elephant in the room” in the form of ST. We confirmed that his faceless style of management and complete lack of empathy with the fans is a majorly contributing factor to fans disenchantment with the club and requested that ST be part of such meetings and that for avoidance of doubt, of course initially it would be turbulent for him as frustrations are vented but that if he would face it personally respect may grow from there. We made a similar point concerning the SLG and made the point that our cannot engage in something where there are no “decision makers” present.
Mike and Jim fully agreed with this and Mike confirmed that they were looking at making it mandatory that a board member will attend these meetings from now on. On that basis we confirmed we would be prepared to attend ongoing representing Fans United. It was agreed, by ALL, that there is no point sitting round a table for the sake of it. So, to round up, we covered a wide range of topics, issues and concerns; we felt we were given a fair hearing and that our concerns were genuinely taken onboard and that from the Club’s point of view they were fair, reasonable and as transparent as they could be in the circumstances.
The Club’s financial position does, however, remain very fragile and the assurance that we can run operationally (week by week) at a break even IF we get back to the Top League and begin to pay down the debt over a five year period thereafter will be far from easy. It really is “ALL IN” for this season . We consider the Club has made a positive first step in the right direction in the appointment of Mr Fyffe we sincerely hope that it is not “too little too late” and that we can dig ourselves out of the hole.
We will keep you appraised of ongoing interaction with the Club and we will act in good faith within this glimmer of light in proceedings.
Kind Regards
The Fans United Committee.

Bowers, that sounds more encouraging, in terms of communication and cooperation than has been the case up to this point. As I'm an advocate of less fan groups and more constructive dialogue, the involvement in the SLG, which to date does not appear to have been much more than a tame talking shop, might be a step in the right direction.
Perhaps Jim Fyffe has brought a more open approach?
