Csaba asked if he would play the same starting XI on Saturday and he replies 'Why not?'.
Incidentally just me or is Scott McDonald a bit nippy towards Csaba when he interjects the interviewer to say 'that's not the word I was going to use'?
p.s. sounds like Keatings injury has flared up (again).

Why not ! Thats a worry for me.
I remember both Jackie and Ray bletherin' on about their so called principles and philosophies and irrespective of results/performances, they weren't for changing. (I was never sure what their principles/philosophies were unless it was to play the most boring and unsuccessful brand of football)
If Csaba seriously thinks that same again rather than learning from mistakes and not repeating them, is an acceptable option then the need for a new manager begins now as far as I am concerned. Its bad enough that he's playing Jackie and Ray's no attacking, no defending brand of football without adding his own numptie embellishments. I want to know what he's going to do differently this week not that he's thinking of doing anything the same again

My perception of this statement was Csaba trying to say thay are all ment to be professional footballers and if asked to play these positions again thay would do so in a more professional manner ....... i hope, praying that he was being hypothetical though.
Can maybe see where he's coming from, if he was to put out the same team then he's asking them/giving them the opportunity to provide a polar-opposite performance. He's maybe just trying to be a wee bit controversial tho in saying what he said but I'm thinking too that the interviewer must have asked him what amounts to almost a daft question.
One thing I'm sure we'll NOT see is Robson at RB & any other changes will depend on how many have gone on long-term injury this week.

Don't know what the laughing matter was when Shabba says he doesna have a squad oe 40 players. Irony aside, didna see the funny side at all. This is phuckin serious. By the by, WTF is up we Toshney just noo.
Toshney could be the new Durnan.
Or the new Col Donaldson.
Discuss.

I saw Toshney, with the Edge (with his foot strapped up in a medical boot) about 4/5 weeks ago at the doorway of the Tattoo shop on the corner of Arbroath rd and Robertson St, Toshney was running freely across the road to the newsagents (presumably for his afternoon snack ... 2 pkts salt n vinegar and a litre n half of coke) looking like he wasn't to far from being fit, so my presumption is that Csaba don't see much potential in the laddie.

Off topic sorry R2R, your pic looks like a young Denis Gillespie against the George Fox?
On topic I think if Toshney was fit he'd at least be amongst the subbies given the youthfulness of the bench. So has he got a longish-term niggle, one of the many similarly afflicted?

Still of topic, your correct smedDUm, a wee bit of photoshop wizardry.

Bobby Madden ref for Saturday
I posted on Mad about the massive weight on the players' shoulders this season to gain automatic promotion.
I really think this is something the players need to overcome.
Imagine at EEP on Saturday if they drill one in early on in the game and 900 Arabs start booing, bless them.
When Sibbald hit the post after two minutes on Saturday you could see the colour draining from the players' faces.
It's something we've got to live with & Shab should be working on them telling them to try not to get too nervous.
I hope to Hell we score first on Saturday.
But we scored first last week and after they hit the post?

Welcome to the Forum friend (great name and pic).
Ach you could be right. His response could be (and probably is) hypothetical/tongue n cheek.
Personally i would have found it more comforting if he had shown anger and said something along the lines of 'i might not start ANY of them' rather than his jovial philosophical response.
But maybe i'm looking too much into it.

Totally Agree smedDUm, The lack of confidence in our team especially the last 3 seasons is absolutely palpable, and im certain that filters down to the players right from kick off, its like a morgue in the terraces until we have a 2 goal cushion, just as the players have a responsibility to preform surely we as supporters have to lift the team and try to boost players confidence, Brechin were making more noise than us ffs. I accept that preformances haven't merrited joyous vocal support of late, but nervous silence probably ain't helping much either.

Come on! Lack of confidence from the support?? Away from home our support is fucking excellent.
Our form away from home is shit.
Debate
Numbers wise its decent, but vocally not as good as it used to be.

Right back on the bench and it looks like Flood will drop in and play right back.
Sometimes we don't help ourselves, when he arrived on day one he MUST have realised that we had a defensive centre midfielder playing in that position curtesy of the previous management team and here we are 13 days into the window with a ageing centre mid playing right back.
No prizes for the oppositions line of attack today.

In his defence flood did have a decent game at RB on our last visit to EEP
