The lack of atmosphere at the brechin game was pathetic. I sit in the g fox and you could hear a pin drop along with boos for pass backs. It is also noticeable that the et is quiet are our missing fans all the singers who knows.
what would i try, well at an announced home game as a trial to give plenty of notice i would open the shed.
Any could bring their drums anything to make an noise and sing to their hearts content thus not annoying the sweetie rustlers.

Drums are not allowed.
A few different people myself included have tried numerous times with different things to change the atmosphere at tannadice and its not worked. I havent gave up just yet but whilst we are in thus league its hard.
Drums can be good if used correctly. Not that im a big fan of them but if used in the right manner they work.

I only used drums as an example, but atmosphere is generated at away games. You have to create areas for fans to make an noise to cheer on the team.

I thing the singing section was given
2 different areas at tannadice and neither worked.
They were put in the end section of the george fox near shed far away from the east stand as they could.
A singing section at tannadice would only work if in east stand middle section and with the full support of those around.
I think a safe standing area would heavily improve the atmosphere also. Celtics green brigade area has improved massively since they opened the safe standing area.

I think the atmosphere at a away games hasn't been great either. Saying that everytime we ve took a 1k away support we played pathetic. Don't know what the answer is, but the last few years have been depressing at united and I fear they are getting worse!

away game atmosphere has always been better than home games but only at certain games.
cup games usually the best as with games against Aberdeen Dundee hibs hearts.
been some great atmospheres at away days the past few years. inverness when we skelped them 2014 is what that stands out it was unreal, we were in the ground about 15 mins before kick off and it was bouncing at that point

Would the tannoy system be binned if some dee fan who lives close by complained about that noise? Joke of a decision to punt the lads trying to create an atmosphere to the least likely place to succeed especially after talking about doing a safe standing area recently before.

Thompson has no intention of installing safe standing at that time or amy time in the near future.
He knew fans were unhappy with him and he knew fans would take to the idea of safe standing.
