Jim Spence

Did anybody hear this guy on the radio speaking aboot Scott Fraser and then going on ti say how us fans need ti tak a lang hard look at oor selves over the treatment Fraser hus had, said he’s always seen the talent Fraser hus it was aboot a manager getting best oot um. Which eh think we’d ah agree wi, seems ti me like another dig at oor support.

Jim Spence is the pricks prick if yi ask me, he’s obviously never said a bad word aboot any player.

Re: Jim Spence

He's entitled to his opinion like anybody else.

But has the criticism of Fraser really been that bad?

A lot of his Utd career he has flattered to deceive and^or at times showed a lack of heart/fight.

He has some good natural ability of that there is no doubt but he has been a frustrating player to watch at times in the past imo.

Re: Jim Spence

Spence may or may not be some of the things described on this thread, but on this he has a valid point. Some of the abuse directed at Fraser over the last couple of seasons has been way over the top. What is relevant now is that all Utd fans get behind Fraser for the rest of the season. Make no mistake if Fraser continues to play well it will greatly increase our chances of winning this league

Re: Jim Spence

Hate to say this, but some of the abuse I have heard directed at Fraser from the stands has been an utter feking disgrace. Way over the top. And despite this he still worked on and has been our most talented player during this time.

I don't blame the laddie at all if he wants to leave now, wouldn't be surprised if he does and it's a damm  shame as he is playing some of his best football now.

Hope he signs a wee extension that suits him and the club. Great talent.

Re: Jim Spence

What a load of shite, Frazer has had a bit of stick but no more than anyone else.

Fans get frustrated always have and always will, good players use it as motivation.

Goodie used to get moaned at for being too greedy, Conway used to get it tight for not being able to cross tha ball with his bad foot, Daly used to get called all sorts "cart horse and a lump of wood", Barry Robson took pelters at times especially the game vs Mypa. I could go on all day but it's part of being a professional football player and the good ones suck it up and take it on the chin.

The boys doing good the now and hopefully he stays on.

This for me.

Havnt heard anything way over the top or much more than any others.

Players will always been criticised and praised.

Exactly. Don't think oor support is any different than other clubs fans. If you prove yersel you'll be praised, even idolised. If you pull out of challenges and under achieve some fans will be frustrated.

He's doing great just now. I'd be delighted if Csaba convinced him him extend his contract.

Re: Jim Spence

fraser got a rough deal as a young player coming through.
he was a target for the boo boys so I find it astounding that anyone would say he didn't get it worse than anyone else.
this doesn't detract from spence being a dick for bringing this up.
fraser did bring a lot on his self due to a lack of application, but poor management played a lot in this as well.
we will likely see a lot of players like him though as the academy set up focuses on ability and not the harder part of the game. I think when these players step up from academy to playing against men playing for their livlihoods it is a massive culture shock.
glad to see he is coming to grips with it now though
