Striker on trial

Jamie Thomas from Burnley.

Young Welsh player.

Can't say i hold out too much hope tbh.I notice Ayr cut short his loan deal last season.

But we shall see i guess.

Re: Striker on trial

We need some one built like a barnhouse door.

Re: Striker on trial

Give the laddie a chance FFS, he could turn out an absolute gem of a player.

If we sign him he will get a chance. That goes without saying.

But what's the point in sugar-coating things? His loan spell getting cancelled at a team who got relegated doesn't exactly inspire does it?

We don't know the full ins and outs of it though. I'm not saying he is going to score 10-15 goals and save our season, i'm just hoping that if he is good enough and Czsaba sees something in him, we need to give the lad a chance. Some on here slating the boy before he's even kicked a ball for us.

Re: Striker on trial

The story is quite simple regards Ayr.

One of their young guys broke into the team and was doing well and another player came back from injury and hit the ground running.

The boy Thomas couldn't get in their team.He only appeared for Ayr 4 times in a 6 month loan.

Again though we will see how he goes.I wouldn't say i am 'slating him' per se but i also can't say i personally hold out much hope but i hope to be proved wrong.

Re: Striker on trial

I thought I read that his time with Ayr was cut short after a few weeks as it became obvious that being with a part-time team wasn't right for the player.  So I don't believe he was there for six months.

Re: Striker on trial

Whether or not being with a part-time team was right for him or not the fact remains that he couldn't break into their side.

4 appearances 0 goals.

I am not trying to slate the boy (honestly) but i'm always of the opinion that with good players you see 'something' in them even if they ain't totally fit etc etc.
