I didn't go to this game, always regretted the chance to see Messi in the flesh. Went to the game the previous year when Craig Thompson chalked off Robson's perfectly good goal.

Aye, that game Craig Thomson underlined his reputation as always aiding what he sees as the bigger team in a match. Chalked off a very good goal (I think Barry Robbson scored a very similar one v Barcelona for Celtic later that season), then gave the big team, Barcelona, a penalty in injury time.
Often wondered how he got to the top as a referee...... but that's how.
