Blooming joke. Straight fare from dundee to greenock for the morn is £52. Break it up dundee perth, perth glasgow then glasgow to greenock it comes in at £31 so saving £21. Absolutely ridiculous they can get away with that.

I'm sure the station staff are meant to offer you the cheapest option when you are buying the ticket, but they rarely do.
Having said that, rail fares are shocking in the UK, and they say the profits go back into the rail infrastructure.
Unfortunately, it's the rail structure in the Netherlands, Germany and France which benefits more than our own.

Theyre away to go up by 3.4% in january tae.
Ive used the trains in france and italy before. Far better service than we get.

Agree. And open more stations to make it easier for folk to commute and use them properly. Broughty ferry and monifieth and invergowrie for example should be used far more.
